A solid chapter moving all the girls of Gotham building up for the next big arc. Batman is on his way out for awhile. Art still amazing.

A solid annual. Cool story with Nightwing and Batman but nothing remarkable. Felt a little too long too.

Wow, I was sleeping on this run because this was FIRE.

So my boy T'Challa doesn't trust ANYONE. For good reason. He's a king and can't take those chances. So years ago he sent out sleeper agents to take care of any threats that would pop up. Sadly, one by one, they are getting picked off. So Black Panther goes on a mission to find out who is doing this and we get some epic fights, romances, and character development I never expected.

To say I was surprised how much fun I had with this would be a understatement. From the start I was glued to find out who was betraying who. Why are T'challa's peeps getting slaughtered. What is he going to do about it? I was even invested in the politics of Wakanda, which I have to say the last run I was not a fan of.

Overall, this was great save for some of the art not living up to the fight scenes being displayed. But overall, really fun and I can't wait to read more.

Meh. Besides issue 2 which was pretty good convos between Superman and Nightwing. It was cute, and really fun, but the rest? Meh boringggggggggggggggg.

Started from the bottom...now we're here. Started from th--

Anyway. Moon Knight is back! Oh you haven't read his other appearances? That's okay this series will semi-catch you up with some references to old characters and what happened. But a lot of internal dialogue, lot of "WHY AM I THIS WAY!" and a lot of self pity will make you either understand Marc or want to shove him out a fucking window.

The first half of this is really kind of a self pity oh woe is me kind of book and to be honest I wasn't impressed.

Then luckily the second half brings in Task Master. That snarky piece of shit for hire that quickly elevates this series to a much more interesting one. The second 3 issues contain brutal fights, funny moments, and some shockingly gruesome ones too.

This is Moon Knight losing his mind 100% but also a violent and fucked up world. Finch is on art duties and I've always felt iffy about his art. Hyper realistic in ways, comicbookey in other ways. A weird mix but if like grit and darkness, similar to Batman, this works here.

A 3.5 out of 5. I'll bump it to a 4 for enjoying the last 3 issues a lot.

Wow I was REALLY invested this time around.

I think the fact they brought in this new species, aliens of some sort, that are kidnaping humans but not saying why really helped. The back and forth between the aliens point of view and ours really helped. The stakes are high with people getting killed off suddenly. The fact that what Nathan did years ago might not have been all his fault, but also the fact that because of what he did might have helped humanity is a great twist. And that ending? FUCK.

Yeah Kirkman has got me on the hyped train once more. Can't wait for the final volume! A 4.5 out of 5.

Solid closing but not amazing. Sets up a lot of stories for everyone and see Matt pissed off is great. The art is also awesome. But the rest? Was just kind of there.

This is such a weird book.

Not because Marc has a split personality disorder but because the way people talk, the flow of narration, it all feels weird. Sometimes people half speaking or conversations starting mid-convo. There were times had to read scenes a few times to understand exactly what the fuck I was reading. Oh top of that the art is hyper detailed but sometimes makes everyone way to ugly and icky looking.

Saying that. I did find myself enjoying most of my time reading it. Mostly cause Marc's old sidekick has gone off the deep end and now acts as a psycho version of say Bucky. Mad that marc doesn't view him as a sidekick anymore and wants to beat him to death. It's that psycho type villain that helps keep this volume interesting. Also the fact Civil War event actually gives us some great moments with Marc at the end.

So yeah, some great stuff, some weird as hell stuff, and disjointed at times. But solid enough to enjoy just wish was better constructed all together. A 3 out of 5.

But if don't want to watch it, this is a GREAT TMNT comic. With a couple of pacing issues aside, this is a excellent final storyline for most of our heroes, great art, and well worth reading for long time fans and new fans alike. A 4.5 out of 5.

A solid start to the next arc. I'm not a huge fan of Jay TBH but I really liked Dreamer here. Art is iffy here. A 3 out of 5.
