Whoa, this one took me by surprise.
The first half is our group of people going to their next game together. After barely making it through the last game you'd think this one wouldn't be too bad. But you'd guess wrong...very fucking wrong. The ending to this arc isn't only shocking but hits hard.
The second half deals with "The Beach" arc. This is a interesting arc though I'll admit the pacing slowed down a bit too much for me. But I do love the backstabbing in this arc and plenty of "oh shit moments."
Overall a great followup to the last book. A 4 out of 5.

A solid follow-up to the last volume by new writer, but it still lacks in final story beats.
Moon Knight is going around beating the living shit out of criminals. That's kind of his thing. But he goes pretty brutal, leaving marks on them as well. However, Stark isn't a fan of that. Especially after Moon Knight passed the registration act test. At same time a old baddie is back from Moon Knight's past, and he wants some revenge.
Overall, the first half is actually great. All the interactions, call backs, and set up work really well. Even with Moon Knights villain. It's the final two issues or so it feels like a lackluster way to end it all, and curious if too many plotlines was too much for this writer. Art stays solid enough.
A 3 out of 5.

Blood on the tracks continues to be interesting, yet it feels like maybe it's losing its focus?
We have our main character finally figuring out how he feels inside. What he did. How he must react to his mother getting arrested. It's interesting because nothing out of the blue happens, no big breakout, no sudden death. Just how a case would go and how to find out if the guilty is, well, guilty. By the end though we get a piece of the puzzle on what happened in the past and wow, it's disturbing.

Probably the most fun volume in this run so far. Tony is after Marc. Osborn is after Marc. The two biggest characters at the time of Siege trying their best to hunt down a C list hero and he's outsmarted them. Amazing.
A solid start. The Vulcan stuff was great as was the Sunspot stuff. I'm one of those weird x-Men fans who never liked storm much but we'll see now it goes. Solid art too so that's a plus. A 3.5.
Love these type of stories. Each rogue is in a different part of their life yet they all reunite....this won't be pretty. Great artwork and dialogue make this a blast.
Moon knight verses a evil house...perfection. Art was extra amazing.
A solid ending.
I was actually surprised more people didn't die. I guess I was expecting it, so when it didn't happen I was taken aback. Also surprised how the ending wrapped up a bit too quickly. Saying that, I loved the villain's motivation, the art is gorgeous, and the people I did enjoy actually got mostly a happy ending here.
So sometimes it's okay to be happy. A 3.5 out of 5, bump it to a 4.

Bro? Did you see that?
Seriously, this was the most fun this series had in awhile. Moon Knight takes a mission to save a girl. Punisher is after big time drug dealers. We have a native in Mexico just murdering villains. And we have two brothers, wrestlers, who get assigned to take out Moon Knight and get the girl. All of this comes to head in a hilarious fashion with fun fights, and a good ending.
Give me more of this wacky adventure type please.

This is one BIG book, but for the most part, it's extremely enjoyable.
There's basically 5 graphic novels worth of stories in here. If couldn't guess by me reviewing each one of the graphic novels covering the first 30 issues of JLI and then 6 issues of Justice League Europe.
Together we had a combination of writers, plotters, and artist creature something so different than what comics were back then. Basically grabbing some of the biggest names in superheroes but also a lot of B, C, and even D listers as well. And having them work together as a team but half the time they're arguing, doing stupid things, and overall just assholes to each each other. Mostly it was a sitcom, but in a superhero world, and I was ALL here for it.
The first arc is the strongest, introducing us to the JLA, and having Batman have a heart attack trying to lead everyone. It's both hysterical and actually makes sense. With teammates like Guy, and Batman, you know things are going to get messy and John is the perfect inbetween guy.
We do lead to some big arcs. Bringing in Booster to the team was both fun and interesting. But even more so we have a big storyline playing out in the back of the JLI getting involved in international matters. Which this was the 80's, and so it was political then and still holds up now. You also have some excellent stories with Blue Beetle and Booster going into a underground vampire area which doesn't seem that interesting but actually has a great somber ending. Have little storylines of Beetle getting possessed by Queen Bee. Have the formation of Justice League Europe, which only is the first six issues, but man is it funny and holds up.
And that's the best part of this entire omnibus. It's funny. Like, not every single joke lands but a good portion of them do. Even if not laughing hard, you will be smiling. You can't help it. So many teammates act in realistic fashion that you'd think you're watching a episode of the office or something with superheroes, and you know what? It works really well.
I'm hoping volume 2 holds up but for a first volume? It was great. A 4 out of 5.
