Def one of the stronger issues. Great character interactions, cool fights, a brutal ending.
A interesting direction. Some cool ideas and the ending def hooked me. The art is great.
Basically a recap while also giving some background to Hawke and Flatline. Decent annual.
Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty (2022-2023) #1
Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Carmen Carnero
A GREAT start. Watching Steve just live everyday life things, painting, trying to make ends meet, sitting down with people drinking coffee is all great. Him and Bucky teaming up to take down a new threat? Sign me up.
A solid built up and show of face of the enemy but also the fact Jon's boyfriend is now outed too can lead to some interesting story beats.
A actually really enjoyable series so far.
Spawn has to deal with a bunch of dead children at his feet after an explosion at a school. Keep in mind this might be tough to read due to recent events happening in the United States with little kids getting brutally gunned down by psychos. But if you can stomach this, Spawn is truly pissed but this time he works with his band of spawn people and friends to hunt down who's doing this.
Having Sean Lewis as the writer, a writer I've never loved his older work, actually works well. A fresh voice for Spawn, a solid plot, nice twist and turns, and it helps the art is great with some brutal as fuck kills. I overall really enjoyed this quick paced, screwed up, and mysterious start to a new Spawn series.

Man, this was a nice surprise.
What starts as a bunch of villains disgusting themselves as hero to trick the public to eventually take over shit turns into a team of villains trying to eventually do good to honor the name Thunderbolts and actually turn over a new leaf.
That's what works best too because the first arc was fun and over the top but it's actually the weakest arc for me. The one following it with the Thunderbolts trying to be good but can't seem to work together as they lack a central leader is both intriguing and well done. Then we get a unlikely leader in the hero Hawkeye. A person who was once a villain to the Avengers only to become one of their biggest members.
This series has a lot of heart. Characters like Jolt really help bring up this series as she's the hopeful beacon this group needs. The dynamic between everyone is also great. Zemo being a main villain, despite over the top and silly, is still really fun.
If I had to say one negative sometimes the art is WAY too busy and way to 90's. But other times I love the design.
A 4 out of 5.

A 4 out of 5.
So this series is mostly a continuation of the Go Go Power Rangers/Mighty morphin power rangers series but now both This (Power Rangers) and Mighty Morphin are running side by side to each other by same writer, to make the package work better.
And it does.
This focuses on Jason, Trini and Zack as they basically are trying to save the entire universe while the other power rangers focus on earth. The first issue everyone gets together but Jason has to make a huge decision that'll forever effect his relationship with people close to him. This leads to Drakkon coming aboard their ship and, well, let's just say this guy is still fucking crazy. Space vampires, Drakkon's world, and a new threat make this a epic first volume.
I loved it. A 4.5 out of 5.

An enjoyable adventure but this is the weakest volume for me so far.
I think I just didn't care about the first half. We shift our view away from Anya and the family for a lot of it and it's just not as entertaining. When we go back in the later half it's a lot more fun. Basically anytime Anya is apart of the family this is a 5 out of 5 book. But sadly only half of it this time. A 3 out of 5.

Loved this. A book of the life of Salina, alot of touching moments, and a lot of heart. Soooo good.
