This volume seems to get more humous. It's actually kind of cute relationship with Shiori and Tooru, but of course Shiori is cheating on her husband...so not that cute. But he's cheating on her...but is he? We get deeper into Shiori reading his dairy but I'm starting to suspect he might just have fantasies but doesn't really cheat...

This could have a pretty dark ending.

This volume is just about as strong as the first, and I really enjoyed the first!

Again we have a few different writers/artist here. Marv actually comes through this volume and with his "gang" storyline I actually enjoyed a lot of character work. Getting Superman to think hard on his choices in life and how they effect his Clark persona. It helps to introduce Jose, who is "gangbuster" and you guessed he, he bust gangs. But he also is trying to help kids not join these gangs. All together some great stuff.

John also gives Superman some really fun stories. Including a great one where his powers go haywire, and both funny and exciting. Also a great Joker story as well as introducing a nuclear woman. I will also say the Legion story in here? Excellent. Really showcases what Superman is all about and it's trippy enough but still straight forward at the same time.

I will say the "Porn" storyline wasn't as bad as I expected. Outdated? Yes. Silly? Very much so. But it wasn't all that bad.

I will say the circle storyline though? That can end soon, that shit just straight up sucks.

Overall though I'm enjoying the hell out of this run. A 4 out of 5.

This start wasn't as good as some of Oshim's other work but still interesting enough.

Yohei has a mega crush on a girl. Girl likes Yohei best friend. Yohei get mad at friend and friend leaves for a few years and comes back dressed up as a girl.

It's weird. It's not clear what the friend's goal is. Says they are done being a guy. But also not a girl. But it seems like it's all to tease both Yohei and the girl. It seems more mean than actually interest in either one.

I'll see where this one goes and read volume 2.

This is another intense volume. Some crazy ass fights, Deku about at his limit along with everyone else. A surprise with Endevor and his family, a old face is revealed to be apart of the family. Toga is insane, like crazy fucking batshit insane...and I love it. And can we talk about my boy LEMILLION returning? Let's fucking GO!

What happens when a loser kills a superhero and then has to fill his shoes.

Knighted is the story of Bob. See Bob just proposed to his long time girlfriend and got denied. Then one day when he's going down the street he sees someone spying on girls getting changed and pulls the wire, and the person falls and cracks his head. Bob finds out it's The Knight, a hero of New York. Bob soon finds out though from the Butler of the Knight that he was kind of a dick, so Bob is forced into the life of the superhero, but of course this doesn't go well.

The idea is A LOT of fun. I will say there's some touching moments with Bob's nephew, some great fight scenes, and the Butler is funny. But some of the scenes feel fast forward and out of place, the dialogue sometimes isn't the best at points, and the art can be rough at times especially with facial expressions.

I'm intrigued enough to read volume 2 but wasn't blown away. A solid, fun time.

This series just keeps getting more adorable.

This time we get a lot of crazy situations. Of course the meeting at a pool with bathing suits had to eventually come in, but it is nice Furi-San is overly sexualized, and there's a super cute moment with her and Taira that worked really well. Then there is a young girl who's actually older than Furi but looks like a kid, who wants to be a "tough" girl like Furi. Then there is a GREAT storyline of Furi and Taira going to the fireworks together that is SUPER cute.

Lots of cute moments, funny moments, solid art, and great pacing. This is starting to build up to a great series. Not loving the girl wanting to be a tough girl, but the rest was great. A 4.5 out of 5.

Picking up King Spawn I figured I'd try to catch up a bit with reading when AL comes back as Spawn and...it's not half bad. Some good stuff with Al fighting for his ex wife, dealing with daddy issues, and trying to find who killed Wanda. I liked it but as always the flaws are evident. Todd overwrites scenes and the flow of the pacing is really odd at times. The art is different than the original series I was reading but still enjoyable. I'll read few more on Hoopla.

Okay issue. Can tell comic mandates came and told Devin that the series would be crossing over with war games making everything here feel rushed.

Read this awhile ago during my war games read but this was still solid. Watching Grayson barely hanging on while wanting to tell Bruce everything is great.

Swing ends the way it started, with heart.

This is the end of the road for our couple, Dan and Cathy. The last few issues they get to explore a few interesting ideas. The first being their lifestyle becomes normal for them and they become the ones to help others getting into it. Also the public shaming of sexual acts/sexual preferences and how scary it can be in the real world. And of course last but not least, a goodbye to this cast in a fun and touching way.

I do think at points we do tidy up a bit to "nicely". Saying that, I did really have a good time on this journey and the ending was sweet. I'm interested to see where we go next in this universe with "Swing: Unicorn" but this was a great look into the Swinger lifestyle. A 4 out of 5.
