So read volume 1 when first came out. Decided to give this another chance in "book" format which covers volume 1-2 (issues 1-12.)

This feels a lot better complete. Nathan is just trying to get his brother back from the other dimension filled with crazy monsters. Of course it's been ten years since the events of our reality mixed with another, letting scary monsters invade us, and maybe the people living in that universe don't want to come back to the regular earth.

It's a pretty interesting tale of a brother wanting to reconnect and fix things, and making a stamp in life. Being something even if it means being somewhere dangerous. To change your life around depending on what happened. It has great themes, even if the plot in the first half takes awhile to get there.

But intrigued to see where we go from here. First half was a 3, second a 4, so I'll settle for a 3.5.

A solid finish but kind of anti-climatic. I still enjoy the storytelling but I really wish the artist would change soon, way way way too static.

Nightwing gets back to solid footing in the plot again with Dick dealing with Blockbuster and the heartless guy returning. This is a great issue, lots of good family moments, and a step into something big coming along. Also, the fight and art is just amazing.

This was SUPER Cute.

So Furi-San basically has a resting bitch face. She always looks scary/annoyed. But in actuality she just has a HUGE crush on her classmate who sits next to her. Taira, the guy who Furi has a crush on, is basically scared of her because of how she always looks moody. But it's actually the opposite, she wants to be close to him. Tus starts some really fun adventures.

Listen, this isn't a brand new idea. The story is been seen a million times but if it's done effectively, and the characters you grow to like work, then it hits all the marks. Most scenarios wrap up within 2-3 pages, which makes this a really quick read. But there's multiple times I chuckled or laugh, I liked the designs a lot, and the pacing flew by. I ordered book 2-3 because of how much I enjoyed this one.

A 4 out of 5.

I love when the Bat Family is just hanging out. The dialogue was alot of fun this time around and a dark and depressing ending. This is a nice elseworld series I'm digging.

The idea is interesting but the actual plotting, characters, and art just don't come together at all.

A personal strike on dick. Blockbuster is ruthless and Nightwing has lost it. Intense issue with a few great moments.

Holy shit.

Dick is pissed. After what happened last issue, all those deaths, he's making sure Blockbuster answers for his crime. In order to find him he goes around Haven and takes down all the criminals, just laying them out, telling them to watch for him. This leads to a big meet up and a epic fight is about to go down.

The start is brutal with Dick showing just how ruthless he can be in a fight. Was great, looked great, and showed Blockbuster he's ready. It slows down for a funeral, which cuts the pace, but it does a good job building up Nightwing losing it.

Nightwing had a great idea except...no backup? No way. Dick is NOT that dumb. But a nice build up still here for the epic conclusion of this arc.
