This volume actually does a heavy dose of Kanda past, which really helped flush out his character. Seeing what happened after his wife's death, and his cause for being scared to perform or go to shows, is just really well done PDST.

Fukumaru silliness is tampered a bit and I like that. More actual funny moments hit, with some emotional bits to really help even this one. One with Kanda's friend talking about how Fukumaru shares some of the weight on his shoulders. I really liked that.

A 4 out of 5.

A very weird, slightly horror filled issue, where someone is trying to (eat?) patients and Peter Parker is next till MJ comes to the rescue. Weird, trippy, but fun none the less.

Peter pushing himself to get back to fighting crime. Can't blame the dude, it's in his blood. Also sending Aunt May a pic of you drugged up? Pete oh Pete...

Read both volume 1-2 of this series before but wanting to re-read to finally finish up Abnett cosmic run.

So the first half is basically the guardians getting together while dealing with the church of crazy fucks. And it's fun arc for sure, has some solid moments, but it def feels like it's getting the band together and not fully there. It's really the second half the series explodes into goodness with a lot of great/funny moments.

Starlord is a standout here in the second half but get a lot of great heart to heart moments with Drax too. And one thing I love about the guardians here is strong female characters like Gamora and Phyla-Vell who both not only hold their own but get great character moments.

I loved the ending of building a team up again, even have Rick Flagg's dumb ass join them. I'm excited to finally read the second half for the first time!

A 4 out of 5.

Is it possible for a manga to feel like filler despite it being the main source of the story?

This is just a bunch of boring fights. I mean sure, some of it LOOKS cool. Get to see Dog (or is it a fox?) Captain in action. But besides that bunch of underlings fighting and I could care two shits about their fights or if they win.

Snooze fest.

This was a okay issue with a GREAT ending. I really like this heat we're bringing on the X-Men by the end and I wonder how it's going to explode in ALL their faces. Hickman warned you all.

Little confused where they're going with the reveal but the ending was screwed up. While not nearly as good as Hickman run this has been decent.

While nothing new with whole crisis thing was nice to see Wally being a badass. Wasn't fan of clayface evil AGAIN.

Solid first story followed up by a okay storyline. Least got to see Logan interacting with his kids. Always a pleasure. Patches is back.

Okay starting pick up. Didn't love it but solid 3.5 issue with a great ending. We are nobodies tools. Let's fuck shit up.
