Well that ending made me teary eye. Goddamn it.

Liked the reasoning behind Kingpin saving Peter. Also liker sneaky spider.

A big issue but the fight didn't have a conclusion. But still entertaining.

Spider-Man finally gets the upper hand to take down hobgoblin. Jj does something unexpected. Harry has some closure. All in all a very very solid issue.

A solid finish. Stern gave a nice and different goodbye and peter gets his best suit ever.

Like majority of the series this was alright. Nothing is horrible just decent. I'll admit I liked how the x-men solved this case and the ending implications. So maybe it'll ramp up.

This one was better than the last. I like how we're getting some cool nightmare moments with, well, Nightmare the villain. Ending was weird though.

This was a pleasant surprise.

A bunch of kids are learning they have powers intuned with magic. So Strange and his fellow magic users start a school to teach these youngsters how to hone their power. It's an adventure like you've never seen before...or very similar to Harry Potter, but hey, it's a lot of fun.

The kids in the group all have different personalities, which of course clash, and a lot of fun moments with that. I really enjoyed seeing the teach help the kids wield their power. The ending had a major loss, which actually made me sad. I'm interested to see how the group we'll deal with the aftermath. The art is also fantastic, so lively, and super cool looking.

A 4 out of 5.

So for few weeks probably seen me posting bunch of small reviews on issues. That's because a lot of what's collected here is only in issues and I had to remember everything that happened in this 50+ issue book.

So the legendary Roger Stern's take on Spider-Man is held up as one of the best. And you know what, for fans of this era (Late 70's, early 80's) It might just be. For me, who reads comics from all eras, I find some of the late 70's and early 80's extremely outdated, and even though Stern has a really good grasp on Spider-man and peter parker, his villains....save for Hobgoblin...are not as good.

Most of these are one shots. Some are pretty fun and Stern has Peter shoot out some really funny jokes. Some are really corny and not nearly as interesting. Hobgoblin is a great villain with a lot of mystery, and I also really enjoyed (I can't believe I'm saying this) Stiltman and Black Cat as supporting cast. However, most other villains like Thunderball sucked ass and made me roll my eyes.

I think this omnibus is fun, and I didn't hate reading it save maybe 5-6 issues out of the huge amount, but it was more of a up and down series. I don't think it's as good for me as a lot of people believe, but that's okay. It's not a product of my time, and this isn't my favorite era of comics either.

Saying that, Spidy fans should check it out. Atleast the Hobgoblin issues, those are mostly good-great.

A 3 out of 5.

This was a pretty solid volume, especially first half.

Watching the Todoroki family try to piece back together their...well family is always interesting. I love watching a father who fucked everything up to try and make amends, don't always see that. You also get some great chase scenes in here with some awesome fighting moments. And a surprise twist to a character villain and why he's that way. All compelling stuff there.

Excited to see where we go from here. A 4 out of 5.
