I really dug this volume (more so than the last two) mainly because the stories that are here. The sweet one about memories, and the murderer, and then my favorite about our main hero all really connected well. It made me sad, it made me happy, it made me question what life is about. I think that's what the author is going for. To let you question what we do in life till we die, and what's important, and to me he succeeds at doing that.

We get a little more meat for the main story with our main characters and you learn their major weakness and what could happen if they go down this certain road. A scary one it is, and it looks like they might go deeper next volume. I have a feeling this story is going to hit all the feels, and I'ma be sad, yet happy.

Another 3.5

I wanna love this, but at the moment I just like it. It could all very well be because it's a bit confusing structure at the start. I also feel they throw characters out like you should know them. So when it's complete, and I know everyone, I think might like it more.

However the art is still on point, the vicious dissecting part made me nearly hurl, and man oh man the shootout scene was insane. So there's great parts to this volume no doubt. At the same time the prequel was questionable and kind of cliche. Also the characters explaining every little thing at times can be annoying.

I still can't wait to read more though. Horror manga/anime is one of my favorite things in the world.

This is really a 3.5, and when it is, I usually give it a 3 and state that. However, I really thought this was fun so fuck it, we'll go for a 4.

This story is about the Superman we've known for years prior to New52. New52 Superman is darker, more cynical, and brooding a lot more. This Superman in Lois and Clark is experienced, been through the gutter, and came back as a true hero. He has Lois with him as well as their son Jon. They do everything in their power to protect their secret and stay hidden.

It has a few plot points going on that include a secret organization going after lois, a alien thing guy fighting Superman (Sorry don't know all the backstory of all the villains in DC), and then the other part is the family. Of Clark, Lois, and Jon all being together. It's touching, because they feel like a real family despite the issues they have.

If you want part growing up with a family staying hidden, part cool badass alien fights, and part some organization hunting lois (Which is the weaker part of it all) check this out. Also the art is great!

This volume kicked shit into gear. You thought it had too much build up before? Well it paid off here...for the most part.

The whole volume plays out like one look action scene, with character building as it goes. I love the little twist with Kei, as it brought up references throughout the story which made you go "Oh well duh, no wonder he was that." Which I love.

I also thought the fight scene was entertaining, brutal, and fun. Sure tons of people died, and how can you say "fun" to that? But this is a serious about Demi-God like humans. So fuck it, it's fun and twisted.

If you like horror with mystery and some great action scenes you should be checking Ajin out. Hopefully keeps building from here.

Fucked up shit in this volume/book.

So it all comes to a big war. You think shit couldn't turn south anymore than what happened in the last few volumes? You're so fucking wrong. When shit goes even crazier, and a big war happens in the desert, tons of bodies left in the aftermath. Some of our heroes are in danger. The end result leaves us with a lot of "What now!?" and we get a backstory of arseface, which is stupid, but fun.

Overall great volume, enjoyable throughout, and a nice update to the overall art. Worthy of being in the collection of insane as fuck comic series known as Preacher.

2.5

Again, another okay volume for Daredevil. The first half was fun, and some great moments (like Matt not being able to be in the same room as Foggy because of the smell but does it anyway). I also got a few giggles with Daredevil on Silver Surfer's board. However the rest of it (Mostly the end) was boring and silly. It feature the lovely green giant but none of it was really fun (except the bar scene) but the rest was boring. What was this? Some type of shitty crossover thrown to piss people off? Blah.

Mark Waid's run is by far the weakest run for me on DD but it's still has it's brilliant moments. So for that I read on, but shame to not see my hero as amazing as I hoped.

Will write a huge review for this one day as it's one of my favorite books ever created.

So this is like the first major half coming to a end. Daredevil (Marvel Now!) is coming next which he's heading to SF. So for now, we leave Hell's Kitchen behind.

Before we do though, how was this?

Well...the first half sucked ass. Like it was silly, over the top, and boring. Basically feels like a huge amount of filler. Yes, the serpents def hold a treat, and it helped the second half, but that's no excuse to make the first half dumb. Having all the different fairy tale monsters like the Werewolf and such here was so silly and stupid. I hated it.

On the second half, watching Matt come out and show who he really was hit all the right marks. I also loved his talk with Foggy, and that damn question we all ask made me get water-eyed. What are we worth before we die? UGHHHHH WHY!

Overall if you can skip the first half of this volume it's damn solid. But first half drags it down. 2.5.

A very very solid Superman story.

geoff Johns sure knows his shit. He also knows how to bring the "cheerful" moments to his characters. Superman finally FEELS like Superman in this series (Read my action comics to see how much his run has fucking sucked in new52) but this is the Superman I know and love.

Without spoilers this book really focuses on how Superman and his friend are alike but different. The upbringing matters, and it changes these characters forever, despite them being very much alike down to their motivations and heart of caring. It's nice to see Superman face a real villain yet not a horrible person, just someone with different views on things.

I also enjoyed the art, but I'm one of those guys who enjoys Jr art, so whatevers.

It's not American Alien or Secert Identity but it's a damn solid story that any Superman fan will enjoy. a 3.5-4.

Well, it was better than I expected. That's saying something right?

Quick Rundown - Kent travels back to Smallville because something is going wrong. BOOM! Zombies. Holy Batman, what are we to do? Wait Magic is one of the only things Superman is weak against. Superman along with Lana Lang, and John, and some other Asian fellow must make it out of this cloud like structure around Smallville.

It's really a story about Superman finding himself and understanding he won't save anyone. It's not horrible, and some real good psychological moments with Kent. However, the fights are uninspiring and the overall tone is kind of all over the place. Sometimes scary, sometimes silly looking, but it's a decent enough Superman adventure.
