This art is really not doing it for me. Saying that the story is going multiple directions I like but will it all pay off?
Beautiful art and a story of holding on to pain and using it as fuel to keep going. A story of hope. This is new for King but I like it.
Best issue yet. Deeper look into Hawk and his relationship with Damien. A dark ending and a new...foe? Arrives.
Decent issue with Damien dealing with his grandfather. Too bad not a fan of Ra.
This was pretty good!
Basically have a group who wants to rob the money from those churches and give back to the people. It's pretty great to see, since I hate fucking places like that. But even better you have some pretty interesting characters on both sides, the one stealing the money and the detectives on the case, leading to some really fucked up situations.
While it feels it wraps too quickly at times, and other times people's faces look really weird with the art, the overall story was fun to read and reminded me very much of a TV show or movie. I can get behind these fun type hacking stories and helping the poor.
A 3.5 out of 5.

So this was two big stories in one.
The first deals with Red Hood. Interesting way of how Jason views Bruce. How his anger gets the better as him. Dealing with that and going back and forth between his child life, it was pretty interesting to see. Also to see Bruce have a heart is always a plus. Together they must stop the villains and it works well for character growth. Second story is about Grifter who kind of comes off really...boring.
Overall the first half is pretty solid though it felt like a little "Been there done that" for me. But the second half really soured the book and I got really bored by the second half of the second story.

Another screwed up volume.
This time we have Shigeru wake up. This sends Seiko into a spiral of crazy fucking emotions. Mad her nephew can't remember her yet...Seiichi carefully watches trying to understand. Trying to grasp what his mother's madness is bringing to the table. By the end of it, Seiichi is now the one acting on raw emotion and losing it all while his mother uses him like a puppet, both scary and fucked up.

This is a pretty cool volume if more of a building blocks for the next arc.
Kei is now working with Yu and the rest of the team to try and find a way to stop Sato. Sato is so bored with life now he orders Koji and the rest of his underlings to do his bidding while he stays back and plays some video game. This is mostly them beginning to make their move, and the Koji group attacks Yu.
I really liked some scenes, one in particular of Kei seeing the worst scenario in his head. For a second I thought it was real and took me by utter surprise. That was great. The art keeps getting better and while I feel sometimes character talk too much with too much exposition it still remains interesting throughout.

So this was...really good even if it had some flaws.
This all starts with a mysterious death of a guy who screams at Adam Strange at a book signing event. After saying he's evil, a war criminal, and more a few hours later he's found dead in a alleyway. Strange decides to go to Batman and the rest of the Justice League and let them know it wasn't him, that they can even investigate him. This leads Batman to reach out to a old friend, Mister Terrific, and have him try to learn Adam's Strange's secrets he keeps hiding behind.
Right off this team never fails to give some fantastic arc. The watch it's drawn is as good as mister miracle if not even better. I was loving the art direction, designs, and facial expressions in this book. Felt old and new all at once.
Now the plot. It's intriguing. I wanted to learn about what Adam is hiding. Not only from the league, but also his wife Alanna. Once Mister Terrific gets closer to the truth everything starts unraveling. Through this investigations you get a lot of flashbacks with Adam and learn the truth about how he rose to be a "hero" of the people.
Mister Terrific is easily the standout star in this book. Both interesting and a bit scary, yet very likeable, this character really helped me enjoy this story immensely. By the end every time he discovered something I was right there with him. And the very ending, while a bit too "with a bow and a nice ending" for me it still really worked as a whole thanks to him.
I will say I think 10 issues instead of 12 would have helped the pacing of this some, it felt a bit stretched out in the middle.
I feel like I have to re-read this one day to fully get every little hint of what is happening but for my first read I did enjoy it a lot. A 4 out of 5.
