More typical issue than previous ones. Just Cass trying to fit in, going to Bruce's big reveal garden, and some sleezy dude trying to kiss her while also having some big plans to ruin everything no doubt. A decent story but nothing special.

A really bland poison ivy story with nothing interesting really happening except some good with the fight scenes thanks to the art.

Final issue. The rest will collect in the two last trades I have.

It's a pretty fun issue. Cass protects a kid who has the secret password to stop a crazy fucking terminator like robot. Also a sweet goodbye from Stephanie before her demise.

Overall, good stuff but nothing great.

Dull would probably be the word that comes to mind for this run.

It's not horrible, or truly bad, or crappy, or ruining my childhood. It's just okay. And maybe in itself that's sad, seeing as Dick is one of the better characters in the DC Universe.

This is just okay. So Dick is trying to fit into Chicago life. He even moves into a new place and gets a roommate, with ex-roommate almost killing him and potentially being a romance option down the line, because of course. Then this volume really focuses on Nightwing verses Prankster. Because that sounds so fun, right? Wrong.

Between the boring villain, the side stories of most of these lame supporting cast, and the sluggish pacing I barely wanted to finish this volume. Save for some solid art and great chase scenes this series is turning into a chore to finish. Debating even reading volume 5 (Which would end Higgins run on the character).

A 2 out of 5.

Mostly a really great volume.

This one covers the landing of the space shuttle which leads to some surprising ending that I didn't fully expect but excited to see how it ends. The middle had a two parter about a show actors were putting on. It was okay though the ending was funny as hell. The last half is the best part. One dealing with Yorick staying with a friend of Agent 355 and learning a truth about himself. And then the crew having to cross state lines but dealing with a 8 woman team stopping people from going in and out.

The showing deaths of this volume really bring light to this new world they all live in. On top of that the excellent art stays making for some wonderful action shots as well as landscape shots. I really enjoyed Yorick growth in this volume by the end. The two parter was a weaker part and not as interesting and we do throw around the word "retarded" a lot, though this is early 2000's, and that word was just used for everything.

This volume kicks up some humor too help give some levity. Overall, another great volume.

A bloody good time.

These are multiple stories from multiple artist/writers. Mostly around 8 pages, sometimes up to 10 pages long, that show Logan off. With so many stories in here, there's no long big storyline going on, but so many stories keeps it fresh incase you didn't like it too much. From Logan dealing with Sabertooth, to fighting Juggy in a bar, to saving a kid, to having to deal with leaving his kid behind in the past.

Most of the stories range from good to great. None really stuck out as bad. There was a few that try to connect to older stories that felt a bit disjointed. But overall, most were a lot of fun, some fun and over the top to really dark and brooding wolverine. I like both so both worked for me. The art is the selling point, and though I know people hate Land's artwork, I personally liked a lot of it here among other artist.

I have to say I was a little sad we didn't get a single story with Laura as Wolverine. It wasn't like her arc was 6 issues, she ran 30+ issues as wolverine. I don't see why we couldn't get one single short story with her as Wolverine.

Anyway, was a solid collection. The oversized Library format really helped the art shine. A 4 out of 5.

First couples pages has venom stopping a robbery almost turned rape. He then makes a few jokes about being a hero while he looks like he might bite your face off.

This is 90s to the extreme and it's both amazing and horrible. The dialogue ranges from pretty enjoyable and funny (peter is actually pretty funny and so is venom) to some awful dialogue from the father of Eddie being awful.

The art can be cool too, especially venom and spidy. Though backgrounds lack detail as does it most times in this time period.

Overall venom wants to be a hero and teams up with spidy. That's the story. Pretty fun but as expected goofy.

Almost gave this a 1 star but the last issue was pretty decent. Like seeing some growth for Jason. but the rest? shit.

This was...something lol.

I'm reading the Venom Omnibus volume 1 and breaking down these stories as I go through so easier to do a big review at the end of the entire Omnibus.

The first story - Funeral Pyre - Is fucking insane. You got Punisher just shooting up hoodlums and being the Punisher. Venom like "No bro, I gotta save one of them." then that one becomes a creature known as Funeral Pyre (Gotta love the name) and...man is this the most 90's comic eveR? So weird. I couldn't look away.

Second story, Venom Madness, is super Rapey and weird. Basically venom fights Jugs, Jugs whoops his ass. Venom meets a virus type creature in sewer, becomes friends, tries to rape his gf, and then Juggs beats him again. Then Venom takes full control and then...lets the little thing go. SO weird...so fucking weird. I love it.

Final story is Venom Enemy Within, which is by Bruce Jones. I really enjoyed Bruce Jones on Hulk run and I was pretty excited to read this. This was not the hulk lol. So do got some cool stuff going on. Little Goblins running around the city killing people. Got Morbius dumb vampire ass working with Venom. Got this guy, Demogoblin, never heard of him until now, basically a knockoff green goblin but pretty fun. And then he turns into godzilla size and Venom and Moribus team up.

Then finish this with a one shot of Hulk and Venom fighting/teaming up. This issue is actually legit funny and enjoyable.

Overall, some stupid shit, but it's oh so fun of the 90's. A 3 out of 5.

A solid end with a cool big fight but felt a bit to predictable and ending felt like more set up.
