Interesting, I was more invested in this volume.

It's still over the top, still very borderline abuse/sexually, but we actually had some growth for multiple characters. The ending events pick up right here as Zen's mother walks in his room filled with panty shots he took of girls covering his walls. So he deals with that and the out lash from his father while trying to find who he truly is. Ayame tries to guide Zen into a new life, making him worthy of being a person again.

This is far more character driven than the last volume which felt very shock value. This has some of those moments, one involving Ayame and Zen having to confront Aoi about what they're doing but it is the ending with Zen growth that help me see this one in a new light. I think I'm in this one for the long haul now.

A 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4.

Updated Review: So this was better upon re-read. Few more jokes landed and I really dug the art this time around, some awesome bloody fight scenes. I think the problem with Deadpool works so well Rated R that the PG-13 version in the comics doesn't work as well for me. But I did enjoy Ben Franklin being a funny dude.

But yeah reading the entire Omnibus, hope it goes deeper into Deadpool mind to get a more down to earth story.

Original Review: Man, I guess Deadpool comics just don't work for me. I can never finish a whole volume. I really tried to get through this but came back with being extremely bored. Basically it's just Deadpool going around killing dead presidents who have come back as ghost. One or two funny jokes aside, nothing really hits. The art is somewhat decent atleast. However, another snoozer for Deadpool comic. A 2 out of 5.

A better volume than the last but not "great".

So this brings back a vengeful asshole who makes Deadpool do horrible things like hunt people down who made a deal with the devil. Except some of these people just want simple things like talking to Fish, and Deadpool Ruthlessly murders them. It's pretty dark, and fucked up, and the whole time have Emily Preston who died in the last volume now stuck in his head like spirit, making for some funny moments.

Overall, when it works it is really good. Even have a funny flashback with Deadpool taking over Ironman for a day, which kicks off the whole entire arc after. The art is also still great. I didn't love all the team ups, some fell flat like Spider-man since it was Otto and not Peter, and Duggan didn't really write a great Otto here.

But yeah this volume had more laughs so looking forward to hopefully continuing to get better but not at a 4 yet.

Every once in awhile a writer gets Deadpool. Deadpool might be a snarky, piece of shit, sometimes cold blooded killer BUT he is far more senitive than people like Wolverine and this volume showcases that side really well.

What starts off this volume is a funny as hell issue of Deadpool teaming up with Luke Cage and Danny as a member of heroes for hire in the 70's-80's. It's funny as hell and Deadpool does his normal bullshit fun moments. But it all links to the current times when people are after Waid and using his body parts to create clones of other mutants. But it's the core story of Deadpool trying to find out what is real and what isn't while also discovering he might be a father.

The story is a darker take than most Deadpool stories, tus it is far more interesting for someone like me. There's still a few jokes but overall this is a more serious and angry Wade, and he has every right to be. The events that occure, the art, the team up between Steve Rogers, Wade, and Logan is all REALLY well done.

I felt like the ending could have been cut off, the last couple pages, cause 3 pages prior was the perfect ending. But overall, great volume.

This was a stinker.

Basically, Bishop is recruiting his team of X-Men, after Cyclops disbanded them to create more of a school setting for students. Cyclops and the crew go down to meet the mutants in the sewers only to find Nightcrawler and Toad there. On top of this Sentinels have returned because...well they have to, they are bad guys.

All this leads up to a big bad appearing at the end. The Apoc we all know and love (Maybe love?) And we have to get everyone on the same page to stop him. This is a huge setup volume and it was just okay. Not horrible but boring.

A 2.5 out of 5.

Another great volume. This time the new members have to throw a mixer. It's pretty great. On top of that we get more diving and a really cute funny moment with that. Oh and a lolztastic tennis game with a funny as hell ending.

Another good volume but nothing compared to the last. Still, we got a bunch of villains hunting down wade, wade tricking or beating them, and his partner finally getting her body back even if it made not be the same body. Overall fun but not great like most Deadpool comics for me.

Another really good volume of a crazy horror/action-packed/mystical adventure.

This time we pickup where we left off. The two fighters dish it out and brutal blows to each other leave one pretty much "dead" if you can say that. Then we have a more tender moment of two trusting each other once more while gaining their memories back. I'm being vague cause everything at this point is a spoiler but the ending with a fuck session turned to gain more powers seems intriguing...

So this was wacky as fuck but some good came of it.

So Dracula hires Deadpool to go retrieve his soon to be wife. Deadpool does just that but begins to fall in love with the woman who would bring doom to the world. In doing so he is hunted by various people including blade which leads to some really fun moments. Then it's off to go kill Dracula for fucking with Wade and his new girl.

It's stupid, it's fun, it's dumb, it's exciting. This is a little long, and drawn out, but when the action happens it is pretty fun to watch and has good moments. Like most of the run, it's good but not great for me.

A 3 out of 5.

The main story was cute, the resT? Blah.

The main story of Deadpool and his lady friend getting hitched is really fun. Especially when Deadpool goes to all his "friends" and asks them to marry him off and join him in a celebration. There's a lot of cute/funny moments to be had and even some cool fight scenes if you believe it. I also enjoy Deadpool married, it's different.

The side stories, or the stories written by past writers of Deadpool vary from decent to shit. The worst being one about Deadpool being a womanizer and banging a bunch of girls...how stupid was this? A total setback for the character.

But yeah this was one of the weaker volumes due to that but the main wedding was cute.
