Deadpool Vol. 3: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
by Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan
Every once in awhile a writer gets Deadpool. Deadpool might be a snarky, piece of shit, sometimes cold blooded killer BUT he is far more senitive than people like Wolverine and this volume showcases that side really well.
What starts off this volume is a funny as hell issue of Deadpool teaming up with Luke Cage and Danny as a member of heroes for hire in the 70's-80's. It's funny as hell and Deadpool does his normal bullshit fun moments. But it all links to the current times when people are after Waid and using his body parts to create clones of other mutants. But it's the core story of Deadpool trying to find out what is real and what isn't while also discovering he might be a father.
The story is a darker take than most Deadpool stories, tus it is far more interesting for someone like me. There's still a few jokes but overall this is a more serious and angry Wade, and he has every right to be. The events that occure, the art, the team up between Steve Rogers, Wade, and Logan is all REALLY well done.
I felt like the ending could have been cut off, the last couple pages, cause 3 pages prior was the perfect ending. But overall, great volume.
