Maybe I just don't get it but this story did almost nothing for me. For one....it's so long to tell a simple story. Hulk isn't scary at all here. I don't need him raging but you could have substituted anyone with this hulk and the story of uprising and fighting back has been done million times. The pacing and dialogue really did nothing for me.
The art was good though.

So comes the end of the dark tournament.
This was a pretty solid volume. Only one chapter wraps up most of the Dark Tournament. We get a winner, a surprise return of someone, and a happy ending. That is until three regular humans show up and KIDNAP Yusuke! This leaves his friends to go and save him.
This was a pretty fun volume in the sense not a lot of fighting but actually test and figuring out who was bad and who was good, outsmarting them, and a nice build up towards the new big bad. Overall, a fun volume that was the blueprint for Hunter x Hunter without a doubt.

Another pretty solid volume. Basically two Tennis matches back to back.
This series hasn't sold me on the characters yet. Mostly everyone is overly smart, a genius in a sense, and plays extremely well. It is fun to see the way the action moves and I like that part of it. But not overly impressed with the characters or plot yet. Still, a easy read. A 3 out of 5.

Sadly the weakest volume yet.
The first half is actually great. We get to meet Nasa's cousin and he's SO funny. A tough high school kid that looks Yakuza but isn't. Plenty of laughs in the first half and I LOVED the bonus chapter at the end of the book, super cute and a bit...sexy!
The later half of this volume deals with Nasa's old teacher and it has some cute/funny moments but drags. I also didn't think we did anything fresh or exciting with any of the characters second half. But this just a small stumble in otherwise excellent series.

The Punisher MAX: The Complete Collection, Vol. 6
Jonathan Maberry, Valerie D'Orazio, Jason Aaron, Shawn Martinbrough, Juan José Ryp, Rob Williams, Roland Boschi, Laurence Campbell
So this entire volume was just one shots...some not so great ones...Some GREAT ones. This is the chance with one shots.
So let me talk about a couple that didn't work for me. There's one of a writer, she's trying to create a story but pushing towards actual events and having people kill and murder. It's stupid with a dumb ending. There's also a couple stories that are standard bad guy being bad, robs and kills people, fakes he's a good guy, but Punisher knows all. Snooooooze. Been there.
But there's some great ones in here. My two favorite being about a guy who sees Punisher kill a bunch of people and leave one person nearly dead. He then takes that person, puts him in a tub, and tortures him. He has fantasies about doing this to other people. Yep...shit is crazy. I also loved the story at the very end about revenge, and how a boy learns from Punisher's actions on how to be a decent person. There's other good stories of Punisher freeing working girls and kidnapped girls as well as killing pieces of redneck shit.
So overall a decent collection. Mixed bag but overall had fun. Now on to the FINAL volume of the Max Series.

This was a cool look into John, the U.S. Semi-Racist warrior of "justice" maybe?
So John is having no luck as always. Thrown into multiple situations where he's booed by people, pushed around by the goverment, used as a symbol, and also arguing with his sister over political things because...well...he's John.
This was pretty fun in all. A little disjointed, but that's just Priest for you. Some crazy cool fight scenes and nice twist in a otherwise okay ending of a plot. I think it's a decent read if you're a Cap fan or somehow a John fan, or like Priest writing, which I do.

This is actually a much more somber volume than I expected.
Peter is now dealing with the aftermath of Harry's actions. He's trying to understand why his friend did what he did while also coming to accept his own issues. On top of that we have Norman Osborn trying to make amends and seek redemption by being a decent father/grandfather but it won't be very easy.
Overall a cool fallout issue. Peter's growth is nice. Him and MJ works well. The Harry stuff is good. And Norman growing is a interesting idea...Overall a solid volume but Mr. Negative stuff is boring and lame.

Whoa this volume answers alot yet gives you enough new questions to be intrigued. The stuff with Roy is great, batman and superman working together, lantern father and son team up, and chase being a badass...give me more.
This mandered a bit. Little more questions not enough answers. However the character work is solid and I'm really somehow digging Roy in this story.
A really solid first issue if not a bit safe. Nothing crazy happens. However wonderful convos between Damien and Jon and Jon's birth scene plus great art still make this a great read.
