Peter getting to deal with more death...

This time Carnage is born. A creature created by both Peter's blood + his father's research. This thing goes to find its father but in doing so sucks the life out of people around it. So who does it target? Someone very very close to Peter. This whole volume heavily focuses on Peter balancing his life and trying to decide if he even wants to be Spider-man anymore.

I really enjoyed the way Bendis gave us a look into Peter's viewpoints this time. Showing that he's just a KID dealing with SO much. He's just trying his best while also dealing with death again and it seems to rear its head far too many times. On top of that, some great emotional bits and a setup for some great things coming.

A 4 out of 5.

This went back and forth between Okayish and Oh this is pretty fun.

Everyone is dealing with their personal issues. Kid Devil dealing with the brunt of feeling alone and depressed. Everyone is kind of blowing him off and he just wants to feel included. On top of that Cass and Tim dealing with their "relationship". Ravenger being...Ravenger lol. And a new baddie, clockmaster...or some dumbass name he called himself.

This was pretty fun at points. I liked some of the interactions at times. I really thought the villain was silly as fuck and kind of stupid. I also thought the faces were REALLY weird sometimes and didn't match what the characters were saying.

Overall, a 3 out of 5.

This is dirty, disgusting, somewhat juvenile, gross, and one of the FUNNIEST Manga's I've ever read.

Actually, in comparison to most Ecchie (Might be spelling that wrong) manga, it is tame. Where things like Prison School focuses on nearly naked girls and messy sexual encounters, this focuses on a guy joining a dive team (mostly against his will) while running into insane situations with his teammates making him drink and do outrageous shit.

Lori is the main character and he is too funny. He just wants to live a normal life and try to get college and maybe even meet a girl. However, his crazy-ass teammates force him into the craziest shit. On his first day of college, he wakes up on campus with just underwear on and goes to school like this. Obviously, funny shit keeps happening throughout including an over-the-top room makeover but it gets worse every time it is made over.

Listen. I can't even really describe everything that happens in this manga because it is bonkers but I was laughing so much I think my wife wanted to kill me. So there you go. Go read it.

The first half was lacking for me a bit. Just felt a little padded. I wasn't connecting with the new characters.

And then BAM second half.

Letting us feel the idea of freedom. Of turning the tides. Some excellent fight scenes. And then an old, evil, son of a bitch comes back and man oh man do they do damage. The end result left me going "Holy shit" and this series went back up once more.

Oh man, what a trip for our main character.

See up until this point he wanted to try and make Mari's life good still. But when he (or she really) gets their period the reality hits. Not such an easy life for a girl, huh? The pain, the look, the view, everything alters. It actually is great they show it in full display so you can feel it. It helped a lot to show the difference between his old life as a guy and his new life as Mari.

The fact the character is slowly going crazy and feeling like shit about his choices tus far is great. The end result of him having a mental breakdown is so good and unexpected this early on. On top of that, the ending made me anxious to see where we'll go from here.

Yusuke steps into the ring and goes at it with the beast known as Toguro.

This fight is what you expect. First, both showing off their skills at one level. Then Yusuke powering up. Then Toguro powering up. This is Shonen Battle to a tee. Then by the end, we get a death that is unexpected and Yusuke's reaction is so bitter you can't help but feel his pain. The battle here is brutal as each character suffers hits to the stomach, face, and so on. The ending leaving us eager for more.

This is Yu Yu Hakusho at it's very best and I can't get enough of it. This is my childhood and I love reliving it.

Oh, who doesn't love a good conspiracy? Half the country at this point believes stupid ass ones that make them look like fucking idiots and when you give them factual information they instead claim "Fake News" like fucking morons.

Anyway, personal rant aside, this was pretty good.

We have a guy just minding his own business...well kind of. He gets involved in a group that believes the earth is flat and goes to one of their meetings but it turns out there might be some TRUTH to their conspiracies? I mean he sees the moon landing was fake so what now? When recruited into a new group of people trying to preserve the truth you begin to get into the thick of things of what is real, and what is truly made up.

I really enjoyed a lot of this. The story is basically a "what is real and what isn't" while touching on real subjects throughout the years. The strongest, or best issue, for me, was the one about the "fake" actors and kids dying in a school shooting. You can even go on Youtube and look at these ridiculous idiots claiming those shootings are fake all to "Take muh guns" and you have to really just eye-roll at these idiots but this book shows the display of how sick people can be. I really loved that issue.

But overall the entire book is pretty damn good with the exception of the art, didn't love it. Hard to tell what happens sometimes. I think it fits somehow, and I got used to it but took me a while.

This was a decent volume but felt a lot of padding.

There are some cute parts, like our main character getting sick and being honest through his sickness. I also enjoyed learning there wasn't abuse happening from the grandmother or father. The added drama would be annoying. But it is a little padding. Coming back to the same situation of "Should I feel this way? How should I handle this" type issues.

But yeah it was good but not a whole lot happened this volume. So just decent.

Wow this is probably my favorite volume yet.

So Tawada decides to make some bold choices. She doesn't want to be just stuck in a miserable place anymore. She moves along with taking a job she likes and is good at. She also wants to be a part of Mashuu life because she does care for him. Not in the sense of lusting or anything but being there as someone he can rely on. However Mashuu finally decides to come to terms with his feelings and tell her the truth and...things get messy.

I'm still amazed this series balances a pretty taboo subject really well. Nothing feels gross or badly done. No bullshit fanservice. No crappy choices from characters. I continue to really enjoy this, the pacing, and the wonderful art.

A 4.5 out of 5.

A solid issue. Things wrapped up really quick though. Some really funny parts though.
