It's on the line of 3.5-4. It's hard to judge, so figured I'd go with 4 just because I do like a lot here. This is a new look on the world of DC. This is a separate universe, think Ultimate Universe from Marvel but for DC. So is Batman Earth One worth checking out? Let's talk the plus.
+Wonderful artwork for most part. The fights are clear and great to look at.
+Good pacing. Never drags and feels like it wraps up nicely as a solo story though letting you know there will be more.
+Solid Dialog.
+Badass Butler? YES.
-Some faces look odd
-Tried to be edgy at points to be edgy.
Overall it was a lot of fun to read. I liked the overall story, liked the fights, liked the falls and successes of Batman, and hope that Volume 2 keeps it up.

At first it was a 2-3 because I didn't really dig the past so much. Saints of Killers left unknown was more interesting. But it hit all the cliches and got boring...till he went to hell and killed a certain someone. That's when it picked up again.
The second half really juggles the triangle of friends well. Who's good, who's bad, the background of all the characters, and who can you trust? It makes for a entertaining read and I read the last 100+ pages in a sitting so that says something. The second half is one of my fave portion of the comics so far.
Hoping volume 4 is just as good.

So I thought I finished this series. I did not. I stopped at issue 19...cause I'm a idiot.
Anyway, back to the final volume. I finally finished it. Hawkeye needed a much needed update and like all my previous reviews, I really dug this run for the most part. The last volume left me stunned at the end result, and this one opened up very well to catch you up. Hawkeye's loss of hearing was a great issue, and even better are the final two issues that tie it all together. The only negative is Kate's issue felt meh but everything else was real well done.
So farewell Hawkeye by Matt, I shall love you forever in my comic heart. You did well. Hope All New Hawkeye is decent.

Well I expected worse...so that's good. This is a direct sequel to Matt's run and tries to keep up the same dialog/art. Does it do that? No and yes.
Right off the bat I fucking LOVE the art...for the flashbacks. The current day art is just okay, and feels cheaply made compared to the old series. HOWEVER, the flashback art is wonderful and I can't get over how much I enjoy it.
Also I really dig Kate in this, as she feels actually characterized to make her have a plot. She's screwed up, young, but good art heart. Clint seems more bumbling idiot than usual, and only in issue 4-5 do see some character growth.
However, this isn't funny in the slightest. Matt was freaking amazing at hitting comedy moments and this series never does that (though it tries). Overall it's a decent read, not horrible, but is in the shadow of what came before.

Somewhere between a 3 and a 3.5. This story caught me off guard because I had no clue why Tony was this much of a dick. I haven't seen him this assholish since Civil War. It really took me awhile to adjust. However, he was actually funny in this, so that's a plus. I also really liked the art, and the fights all looked good and well done. I also loved a really great moment with Daredevil and Foggy even if it was just two pages. It really hit me as a huge Daredevil fan.
However, the story never feels serious enough. I also dislike the whole app idea, and even though it's flipped on it's head, still never hits right with me.
Saying that Tom always does a great job of hitting fun storylines with serious moments. This is no different, and if this is his weakest (Which it is so far) that's pretty damn good.

Another solid book but nothing groundbreaking. Maybe I should start with the old Flash stories, but getting into him with New52 hasn't been as amazing as I hoped. You get to see the rogues fighting each other, while also featuring the ending surprise cliffhanger of Grodd, but then another twist happens at the end of this one. Overall, it's fun, and cheesy, but it won't be staying with me just like volume 1. Good stuff but should be great.
So the first volume was fun and a bit dumb. This one basically stays the same. I felt it was rushed, and another issue could have helped a lot, but I really enjoyed the fights in this one. Watching all the different Iron-man suits try to fuck up the new superior suit, that got me excited. I don't know how I feel about the wrap up but I guess it all gets fixed but I haven't read much of Axis so yeah. Either way good time, very silly, but if you wanna see a somewhat evil Tony doing evil shit and beating everyone, check this one out.
The Hobgoblin story was decent, got a few chuckles, but mostly felt like a drag to finish at the end. On the flipside the Carnage story was a blast. Over the top? Silly? Yes and yes. However, it was a fucking blast to read through and I was laughing throughout. Especially his first "save" made me laugh hard. The bank as well. So overall for some great laughs check out the Carnage story! 4 for Carnage, 2 for Hobgoblin.
Originally gave this one a 5/5 but Upon re-reading some of the dialog really sucks haha. It's borderline silly and over the top. I especially dislike the way Millar makes out Hulk as a horny creature who just wants to fuck everything.
On the flipside I love this no fucks giving Cap. He will knock you out, be somewhat sexist, and racist, and somehow it works. I also really enjoy Tony and Thor in this universe.
I think it's a lot of fun, especially the first half, the second half is entertaining but slower paced and not as interested. I might give it a 3.5 overall but it's still so damn fun.
