This was kind of a weird volume with a kind of corny villain.

The good is the inside mindset of Steve is still great. There's some cool action set pieces here too. I enjoyed the after effect of now having mr. old man steve or dying man steve I guess at the end haha. I think this was just a okay volume though. The villain was bland.

This volume is basically Superboy gets beat to shit by Superboy prime, and ALMOST dies but survives only to THEN die a few issues later by Superboy Prime's return. What a shitty life, huh?

I did enjoy alot of the character interactions. The best being Connor and Cassie. For one they feel like they actually grew as characters. They rely on each other to get through the harder times. They finally fuck, so glad that's over. And they feel like they're finally maturing into adults.

But then Superboy Prime comes down to fuck everything up. And that's actually the best part of this (long) volume. Anything to do with either Superboy is great. The rest is decent, Tim's mission to get a cure, and the interaction between the titans and such. Nightwing and Superboy team up is weird but least enjoyable.

It's a 50/50 volume for me but I enjoyed it more than I didn't. A 3.5 out of 5.

Magic theme stories normally aren't my thing. But this one's setting was different enough to be intrigued. Solid art throughout as well but the jumping of time periods was jarring to say the least.

Another solid volume but I really think this series is missing something. The father/daughter storyline was solid but the pop show wasn't at all. Always half and half. A 3 out of 5.

Another pretty cool volume. Finally get to see the Bull's captain in action and that guy does not play around. Some badass moves for sure. Some cool big brawls on display here as well.

Pretty interesting look into the Idol world and popstar life.

Nina might seem like a regular girl but was once a popstar who was super famous but was attacked viciously by one of her "fans". Now in her regular school life she can see how a lot of girls are treated. A lot dismissed for being slutty or wanting to be "touched" simply cause of how they dressed. We all know this bullshit is still being talked about in real life in so many places. I quit a job once because of how disgusting my coworkers were to women.

Anyway, this is a really cool slice of life thriller. While sometimes it is a bit dramatic and over the top the twist and turns were good enough to keep me invested. The art is solid. And the pacing was good. I'll be checking out volume 2 for sure.

A 3.5 out of 5 bumping it to a 4.

Only got about half way before had to return it to the library so this is for only half the series.

Saying that this is a super fun series. Broken into mostly 4 panel short stories that'll make you laugh, this is the story of a bunch of high school students and a crazy drunk teacher of theirs, and their life and tribulations. It is too funny at times, cute at others, and really weird even. Worth checking out if like slice of life comedy style comics. A 4 out of 5.

The Dark Tournament is now underway and you can tell this is where Togashi really got his groove going.

With the first round going to a surprise victor, it is up to Kurama and Hiei to win now. Both get to show off exactly why they're so powerful. Kurama having to not snap, and Hiei going all out with his new attack that looked fantastic. But it is really Yusuke's bout with a Drunk that you think might be silly but is intense, brutal, and well worth the first major fight for our new Yusuke after the training he had.

Overall this is a wonderful volume that showcases a lot of great fights and begins to build towards the next one nicely. I really enjoyed all the character interaction, you finally feel like they're an official team now. The fights are more intense and brutal as well. I can't wait to get even further into this book.

A 4.5 out of 5.

A fun conclusion where get to see Nightwing team up with the New Batman. Not only that but get to see more of the Batfamily work together. It helps Andrew Constant writes a solid Dick who is likeable yet feels like he's been through hell. A 4 out of 5.

Ah we all knew the main characters would eventually catch feelings.

So this picks up with Kazuya stumbling home with Nanami. That's right, his EX! And when she almost invites him over but then reveals a little bit about her true nature and how mean she can be to Chizuru, Kazuya flips out a bit and stands up for himself. But when he heads on vacation with friends his mindset is to get back with his ex...

This is a back and forth, how do I break up with my fake girlfriend, to get back with my old real girlfriend. Everyone's true colors begin to come out and the second half is actually pretty intense. The last few pages got me going "Oh shit" and excited to see where we go. I just with people can see how broken Nanami is and why she acts the way she is.

A 4 out of 5.
