Wow the art was awful. Like a cheap ass looking version of 90's art and 90's art for the most part in mainstream was terrible. So this is a bad thing. Also the first half is very wordy and not all that interesting. Luckily Hickman pulls it together by the second half but truly one of the ugliest issues I've seen in awhile. A 2 out of 5.
Groundhog day visits Wonder Woman as she keeps reliving the same fight every day. Reminds me alot of Assassin's creed valhalla's ending and it's pretty fun to watch Diana slip back into a fight every day. Dialogue is strong as well as art. It didn't blow me away but a solid start. The second story is okay, basically another tale of growing up.
Lolz the opening is magical. I can't believe how much Wells actually made me give a fuck about Sinister, a character I ALWAYS hated, I now love.
The second half is a rescue mission but gone horribly wrong as we all can guess. Filled with lolz and action, this series always makes me smile.

FINALLY get to see where Laura and her crew went and it was worth the wait. While the start is a little janky the second half is amazing and Laura gets to shine like I knew she could. Brutal and wonderful all at once, need more of this X-Men team.

A decent murder mystery novel with a unique(ish) ending.
The twist is easy as hell to see. I mean if you don't figure it out about 5 chapters in I don't know what to tell you. They throw it in your face too once they mention the years/age of characters. I did enjoy most of the character interaction and the ending truly was different. I expected it to go thriller but instead went a more realistic and interesting approach.
I can't say I was blown away but I thought for the most part it was an enjoyable read. Something different than what I normally read. A 3 out of 5.

A nice surprise, a deeper look at Stephanie Brown, and a violent city on the brink of exploding.
I have to say I wasn't expecting to enjoy War Games as much as I did. Andersen Gabrych writes most of these issues, and maybe because I never heard of him before, but I didn't think he'd bring much to the table. Instead he gives us a Batman on the edge at all times dealing with both his successes but also failures while we get a deeper look into the batfamily as well.
While the first half isn't essential to the War Games major story arc it helps build up Batman's mind, Stephanie's character development, and even help give us a bigger picture into Tim, Oracle, and Nightwing. The second half is all the gangs going to war with each other and this includes targeting kids of the mafia families and this makes for some super compelling and hard to watch scenes with multiple characters.
I really enjoyed the deeper, darker, and more realistic sense this book had. Sometimes don't need to deal with big scary villains but more human, shooting, and killing ones do the job of filling in the "evil" role. A 4 out of 5.

Captain Marvel really comes into its own here with the 4th volume somehow being the best despite being half a tie-in.
This time we're introduced to Carol as now the accuser after getting the hammer. But soon into her first major mission she meets Lauri-Ell. A huge woman with arms the size of boulders (Who Spider-woman is very fond of) and we learn she is actually Carol's long lost half sister. So Carol goes against her mission and brings her home only to also have to deal with the Empyre tie in stuff at the same time.
This hectic volume moves at a brisk pace with plenty of laugh out loud moments with Carol and friends. Lauri-Ell is a wonderful addition, both funny and kind hearted. The fights are pretty grand and watching a bunch of people with the accuser's power is awesome. The tie in feels a little disjointed and might feel a little lost without reading Empyre (I recommend it, so fun!) but it is still really good.

So finishes up a decent run on Batman running the outsiders.
Bryan Edward Hill creates some fantastic characters with the crew, just never really loved his Batman here. He gives him interesting ideas but I can't help but feel like it doesn't sound like Bruce for me. Still, everyone else works really strong. I just wish the story itself was stronger as Ra is one of the lamest villains around. The ending leaves the family of the outsiders broken up too which is a interesting idea.
Overall, good like the rest of the series. A 3 out of 5.

Another ridiculous manga that has some charm mixed with outrageous situations.
This is the story of a girl, who drow--walks her way to school but everyday seems to be an adventure. Her first day she was trying to avoid the streets and go up on a rooftop like some assassin's creed main character and ends up using a piece of shit as a stepping stool to get to her goal. Then we have a chapter where she's spying on her new friends with her whole, creepish friend, and somehow end up in a very...awkward situation. Then we have a chapter where she has to pee so bad she by accident runs into the men's bathroom and has to find ways to get out.
Listen, it's all goofy, silly, yet I did chuckle throughout and enjoy the pacing. Nothing was boring, and although Chio talks WAY too much sometimes she is pretty entertainer most of the time. I thought the best scenes were the silent humor of reading a personal message after a video game and her reaction or her daydreaming of what could happen if she took option A, B, C, D. Those worked best. Art is solid too though the mass amount of panty shots at the end was a bit off-putting but it is rated 16+.
Overall, if want silly, over the top funny situations, this might be worth checking out. I'll be buying few more volumes! A 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4.

This is hands down one of the funniest mangas around.
From trips to the mall with his wife, to doing a special dinner for her, to fighting off a roach, to impressing mob bosses, this series never stops being cute/funny/insane. Give me more of this please, forever, I need it. It makes me so happy reading.
