Overly cute and stupid all at once. A girl who is forced to go to school to be a basketball player has to dress up as a boy and live in the dorms with one. If looking for comedy it isn't half bad, some pretty funny gags, and some silly situations. The obvious love story is corny but charming in its own way. And it ends on a...interesting cliffhanger. A 3 out of 5.

It is just so refreshing to see a relationship done with maturity and realistic dialogue.

Asako comes clean and gets to talk to her boss about her love life, which is a really sweet moment when she realizes how much she likes Natori. Natori goes out of town with his co-worker and finds out she likes him too. In any other, lesser relationship manga, it would have been a love triangle blah blah blah storyline. But here Natori lets her know he doesn't see her that way and they handle it like adults. Natori and Asako also handle it after in such a cute and well done way. Then Natori and Asako go on a trip together for his birthday and it's just so dang sweet.

I just love this manga so much. So wholesome and well done with a lot of great characters and storyline. Every time I read a new volume I just enjoy myself the entire time. I never want this to end but all good stories do. Another 5 out of 5.

The highly impressive fight scenes and randomness help move this along quick and entertaining. I think what this story lacks that Chainsaw Man has (Same creator) is Chainsaw Man has characters you care about and root for. This has...nothing of the sort really. It helps it is funny, fights are fantastic, art is solid. But when not caring who lives or dies, it does hurt it a bit. A 3.5 out of 5.

Holy shit this series is funny.

Just watching our main hero do the most househusband things ever is too good, especially when he looks like he can murder you just by smiling is too funny. Him trying to buy a new car, trying to win a scratch off, and goes to war with another Ex-Yakuza in a food fight. All of it is so damn good, so damn funny, and if you wanna smile the entire time pick up this fantastic manga. A 5 out of 5.

So we continue the "I wanna say what I mean but can't" story but here it actually makes sense.

See when someone is trying to be okay with themselves it's not so easy to come out and admit their feelings. It isn't like Touma can just come out and say how he feels to Taichi. Maybe he could even, if he felt okay in his own skin. As he says here, he isn't even sure how to love or like himself. And it feels impossible. On the flipside you have Futaba who is finally coming to terms of who she is and how she can better improve herself. And their heart to heart really helps both grow that by the end someone actually confesses and we're hitting the good spot.

While it is beginning to feel like it is stretched out a bit the humor still works really well, the funny faces is perfect, the serious art is wonderful, and the tender moments mostly hit. I can see this being a huge anime hit (If they haven't already made it)

A 4 out of 5.

Ah and now enters another person to the crew to shake things up.

This starts similar to other volumes but right away Taichi tells Toma that him and Futaba are dating which changes the dynamic. But it isn't until Mami comes into the picture things start coming apart. Mami seems to get close to Taichi fast but in a lesser romance manga it would be for all the wrong reasons. Jealously, hate, revenge would be the first thing come to mind but infact it is something very different.

And that's why I enjoyed the wrench thrown into the dynamic so much. Even if Mami can get a bit too annoying at points and talk TOO much, and says Totes far too much for my liking but her reasoning for doing things is 100% justifiable and makes good points.

Another very enjoyable volume that'll no doubt lead to heartbreak eventually. A 4 out of 5.

This is such a strange book in the sense it goes into a deep look into the mind of Bruce and what he views his Batfamily as.

So if you're expecting some flashy villains taking over the world, or a army coming after Batman, and so on that is NOT what you'll get. In place of that are small, unique missions, that focus on Bruce and one or two of his comrades at once. In doing so we get to know the inner thinking of Batman while also learning more about his family.

And that's when the book works best. The focus on his children and his Bat-Family. Taking a deep look into what they are, who they are, how they're different, and how they help him achieve what he must to keep Gotham safe. It's a great insider view to it all and some solid dialogue and art to help push that further.

We eventually do get to Transference which is a story about Hugo and it's actually pretty solid. I mean you can guess the twist but the way Dick takes charge is interesting and fun. I also really enjoyed particular issues with Cassandra, Dick, and Tim. The weakest was probably Babs.

But overall, a little slow at points but a pretty interesting book with ideas I wish I'd see more in main Batman titles. A 3.5 out of 5 but I'll bump it to a 4.

Funny enough growing up I hated the Hellsing anime. But for some reason I was compelled to give this Deluxe Edition manga a try. Is it better? Yes. Is it still stupid? Very much so.

What is Helling about? Well It's about Dracula...I mean Alucard (You get it, Dracula spelled backwards? It's like that one video game series...hmmmm can't remember the name. :P) And so he works for the Hellsing corporation basically killing vampires and nazis and so on. Whatever basically creeps in the night. But first we're introduced to Police Girl who is almost raped and killed and Alucard saves her and transforms her into a vampire tus having a sidekick.

And here's the thing. For the over the top action, bloody gore, and stylish fight scenes this book is very much a blast. With some great, gory deaths, and vicious villains and characters this is super fun. Watching Alucard turn into a demon like dog with guns is both insane and badass all at once. Watching Cop girl lift a bazooka sized gun and shoot with aim like no other is silly and great. Hellsing when mindless pure action is happening is a ton of fun.

But the story...well it's silly. It's dumb. It's over the top. When a crazy priest with powers is the main enemy to Alucard I laughed but it was entertaining. But they we introduce the Nazi army and while it is cool to see them get killed it is long winded speeches that killed the momentum in the last third of this book. Too many speeches that lead to nothing very interesting.

Saying that though it is a blast to look at since 75% of this is pure action and the deluxe sizes get to display that really well. A 3.5 out of 5. I'll bump it to a 4 for the Hardcover.

Wow just wow, Yara is so freaking likeable in this and the last issue I love her so much. Her charming, playful, and heroic stance on everything is just so good and that design is perfection (Come on that booty is something SPECIAL JUST SAYING).

But for real, the heart of this story is about loss and not giving up and I loved it to bits. I also enjoyed the art so much, some amazing panel work on top of great expressions. This has to be the best Future State title for me.

The first half is a nice sendoff for Diana. Brave and at peace, giving a nice farewell to old allies and some gorgeous shots. But the second half just really didn't catch my attention at all. So a mixed bag in this package.
