Well that was a relief once you open the book.

No one dies! Yay!

Anyway we get into the mind of these characters even more now. They're finally starting to admit their true feelings to one another, which is a breath of fresh air instead of waiting 20 volumes in a manga. Taichi immense guilt from his actions of the last volume. Futuba also tries to figure out her feelings and with the help of Masumi she might just get that.

It feels nice the characters moving forward with their feelings and truths. It's also nice to see that a lot of characters view them as friends and not just sex objects. I really love the emotional bits, but the comedy is still pretty solid too. The art is gorgeous at points as well.

This is probably one of my favorite slice of life romance stories.

Sin eater Returns...but not in the way I expected.

So first off we get a bit more of bug man invading Peter's dreams. In a creepy way he murders Peter in his dreams and get more ambiguous dialogue. Then we get to Sin Eater and I kind of wish I didn't read his stories back in the 80's now because this is basically a huge recap of it all until he rises once more. Once he comes back he isn't the same man you knew and instead of killing he takes your sins for his own...not that interesting.

I was let down by the second half. A great build up but the results were meh. Up until the death (Or almost death I guess) it was great. The rest was just okay. A 3 out of 5.

This was WAY different than I expected.

So Takemich is just some 20 somewhat old loser who is unsure of what he's doing in life. One day he sees on the news his girlfriend from way back in middle school died. So the next day he somehow almost dies on the train tracks, or well he does die, but then gets brought back in time from when he in middle school but remembers everything in his last 12 years...so he wants to change/do things different and meets his girlfriends brother who he warns what will happen and so then her brother saves him 12 years into the future and he decides to go back into the past to now save his girlfriend from dying in the future.

Confused yet?

Anyway, it's fairly interesting story. The fights are very yakuza fist to fist based. If like GTO early years and things like that you'll enjoy this. The storyline itself moves quick with plenty of "What will happen next." And I do enjoy the pacing. I wasn't sold on the characters yet, none really pop out to me. I also think the storyline feels like it's really going to stretch if his main mission is to somehow save his girlfriend.

But it is on Comixlogy Unlimited so I'll keep reading. A 3 out of 5.

Man I am just eating up these Romance Slice of Life stories. Keep giving me more. Any recommendations list below!

Anyway, this is the story about Akira Tachibana. Who is that you might ask? Well once she was a all star track runner but eventually got hurt badly and couldn't run anymore. This leads to her taking it easy and working at a diner after school. In doing that she begins to form feelings for Masami Kondou, who is a 45 year old manager at the diner. How old is Akira...well...she's 17.

Now I know, I know, this sounds gross. Why would you read about a 45 year old dating a 17 year old, right? But somehow, this story turns out to be actually really sweet.

I guess it helps Masami Kondou isn't a pervy, creepy, dirty 45 year old with a crush on Akira. In fact it is Akira who really likes him. And she's the one who confesses it even, which is a nice change of pace. The fact they make Akira have different taste than others is a nice twist too. I also love the fact when everyone goes to her, she has this almost resting bitchface but in fact she's mostly super shy and cute. Reminds me of the prototype for Komi can't communicate series.

There is one weird storyline of a older boy who finds out Akira likes her manager and basically blackmails her. It's weird, overly creepy at points, and I don't love it. Luckily it isn't in a lot of this but I hope doesn't go too much further.

So far, this is a charming story, funny when it needs to be, and drawn wonderfully. I'll be grabbing the next volume. A 4 out of 5.

Maybe the anime is alot better but I found this really dull.

When a 30 year old gets killed in real life he's transported to a fantasy game like world where he's a slime. Now I'm a huge JRPG fan so the start of this was intriguing. Him becoming a slime, and then leveling up by using moves over and over again was pretty cool. I also really enjoyed some of the fights, pretty brutal.

But that's it...the story takes forever to go anywhere and when we do it seems like just happening. Like we roll with the slime till he gains a following. Then we deal with slime being hugged by half naked girls because fan service. Then we try to get into a deeper plot but by then I'm already checked out.

Meh on this.

This artist truly creatures some of the ugliest and most disturbing ghost/creatures/monsters ever.

This continues the storyline of the last. Still Mieruko refuses to look at any ghost in her seights. However, when a new girl comes on the scene and claims she can see ghost it might be hard to avoid it forever. Seeing as the new girl can only see normal level ghost and not the big vicious creatures Mieruko can it gets to be a challenge.

Inbetween all the disgusting creatures and some cool brutal fight scenes with ghost/spirts verse each other came a few funny moments and a tender moment of a new mother expecting her second child after losing her first. It's rather touching and done well. And the last few pages gave me a chill down my spine for our main characters.

Overall, a really cute at times, disturbing at others, and touching somehow all in one package. I'm really digging this series.

This started off good but by the end wasn't as invested.

Still, it basically takes a bunch of people from different clamp universes and puts them together. They each give up something important to them to go on a adventure to safe poor Sakura who has lost her conscious thanks to touching some artifact. A weird storyline that feels bloated already but the humor is helping me enjoy it despite that and the art as always is solid. Will try out another volume or two.

Three volumes in a row of fight after fight you begin to wonder if there's ANY character development happening anywhere?

The fight with Renji is utterly boring and anything we switch to him I just want to skip it. It's not doing anything new or fun. ichigo fight atleast is interesting as he's in a weaken state and his enemy is a real piece of shit. Then got Nel...who surprise surprise isn't who she seems. And if we learned anything from a cat, it's about to transform into something similar to...WHOA big titty warrior with very little clothes on.

Yeah, as expected lol. But least the fights are entertaining...kind of. I dunno. This series starting to go into a downward spiral.

Okay I know the story established no one was safe from death but they did my boy dirty here and his death made me fucking HURT.

So this is basically two character sets we're following. Asaemon with the young girl as his criminal and then of course Gabimaru and his crew. And while Gabimaru and his crew seem more of a quiet arc till the final major fight, it's Asaemon, his mentor Shion, and criminal verse a demon like creature who can change appearance and is nearly invincible.

This is super charged volume with such awesome fights, sad deaths, and a new status quo by the end that I'm really starting to love this series. I'm sure excited to see this animated and hoping they do it justice because this is fantastic. Characters are interesting, deaths are shocking, and pacing is near perfect. Give me more please.

Well this wasted no time getting into it.

Nasa (yes that is his name) is a guy who wanted to achieve great things in life because people made fun of his name. In doing so he became getting everything he wanted in terms of grades and a life and then met Tsukasa, a strange girl who saves his life after he gets hit by a truck because he had his eyes on her. They quickly get married soon after and begin their life together.

And as strange as it sounds, it somehow works. The adventure of these two through early days of marriage is pretty great. Wondering what they can and can not do, see, touch. What they should do as a married couple. The mystery of where this girl came from. It all somehow works. The pacing works after the jarring start but it did take me a bit to get into the rhythm of it.

But overall super cute and fun. I'll be buying more.
