So this book contains 3 major arcs. Two good, one too Millarish and comes off as try hard.
The first arc explodes into a frenzy as Alec awakes and his HUMAN again. Confused and not sure what is happening, convinced he was on a acid trips of sorts, he tries to fit back into a human-like lifestyle. But on the flipside in the swamps the Swamp Thing is going around destroying and killing everything and everyone with no mind of who they are. When he sets his target to Abby, Alec must return home to stop it.
Then we get into a weird yet interesting arc where Alec is trying to hide who he is while on a mission to find his old wife. It's kind of cool, dark, twisted, and fast paced for me to enjoy with some acid trip like moments in the art. The last arc is a old magic user who wants to use his Niece while trying to kill Alec forever. It has a cool fight but omg this arc felt like it would NEVER end.
Millar and Morrison actually make a solid pairing. Now days they hate each other but back then it was fun. This collection for the first two arcs is around a 4 but the last one barely above a 2.5. So I'ma settle on a 3. Overall, fun, and I'll read more.

Holy shit this had some of the coolest fights in the series so far.
Beni is going head to head with Shinra's captain until finally he comes to his senses that there's something going on. But before we can relax and figure it out the sniper from previous arc is back and shooting at our people. Shinra blast off to try to stop him and learns a bit more about what and who he is while you get Beni's background with his friend and why he is so powerful and why he acts the way he does.
This volume is filled with great fight scenes, some emotional bits I didn't expect, way less fan service (Thank god) and story progression. We now have our companies teaming up, we have a main enemy, we have new power sets, and so on. This is shaping up to be great series if it keeps up.

The end of the world.
Diana awakes to have to kill a monster who is trying to kill two teenagers.
Lost and confused we travel through a broken world to find out what happened but also who Wonder Woman really is.
This is a awesome, action packed, crazy adventure for Wonder Woman to go through. Watching her highs and lows shown in such a devastating yet satisfying way was the best idea. The fight scenes are brutal, probably some of the best she's ever had. A fight especially at the end or her past fight with a close friend, showcase Daniel Warren Johnson's skill at big bombastic fight scenes. The art can look muddy at times but fits the tone. And some of the Cheetah stuff was odd. But everything else? Awesome as hell.
A 4 out of 5.

Well holy shit, who knew this become a full blown action packed adventure.
The start continues to be funny as they film our Fire Punch man down and about. But when they go to face the enemy, Agni (Fire Punch Man) decides he wants to change his ways. He wants to SAVE lives. And in doing so all his focus is on that now, changing his revenge ways. This is until he meets a huge robot like fighter who beats the shit out of him. So he tries to fight back.
This is a pretty exciting volume. Quickest read so far as it contains the MOST fighting, and crazy amount of "Wtf" moments. The story is still pretty solid and we get some great emotion from Agni this time when he finally tries to say goodbye to Luna in his own way. The ending left me wondering where we go from here.

This was a really weird volume sometimes...kind of anti-gay...but they turned it around.
So the group dwindles down to 4 remaining survivors. However, Saki and Maria first get down and dirty after the festival. They obviously love each other though Saki still remembers loving someone. She things it's Asahina but it actually was Shun who is dead now. So the group actually goes back out of the city limits and learns more of the truth of the world.
This was a pretty good volume. I think I liked the last volume more. I enjoyed the sex scene this time because felt right and now it's obvious Saki and Maria love each other. They pull a weird "The world is tricking people to be homosexual" which is just dumb. But they recover when you learn more of the truth. I also liked the ending and want to know where they can go from here.

Both art and story failed here. I thought the art didn't do anything for the fast fight scenes or just overall design of characters. And the story of dark evil wally is boring as fuck. I dunno if I'll even check out a second issue.
A pretty solid first volume. John right away sets the atmosphere nicely, good fights, interesting character interaction, great art. Outsiders side story was really solid too. The Arkham story was blah.
As someone who most times can't stand Harley Quinn this was good. The art is a great mix of anime style with western influence. Though the fight scenes can use a bit of work. The story itself seems pretty interesting. The best part is the interaction with Harley and Scarecrow. A solid start. A 3 out of 5.
Company 8 needs a person who can create their gadgets but when they go to Vulcan (the engineer) home they are met with...resistance.
This is fun to watch Arthur, Shinra, and Iris go on a trip together. Seeming them gives a lot of good comedy bits to make this volume a ton of fun. On top of that Vulcan is a interesting character with a reason why he hates the fire force that makes sense. When the fighting begins it is Arthur who gets to show off why he's one of the best. With some of the coolest fight scenes so far. Shinra also gets time to shine.
This volume is action packed and really funny at points. I'm a bit confused on why people seem to not like this anime much. I think besides some silly fan service bra and panty shots, this is a really fun, well put together, character driven series. Helps the fights kickass too.

whoa, this was awesome!
Yara is new in town and on her adventure to find her pet she meets a old friend. Together they begin a whimsical adventure filled with awesome art, great characters, and a kickass lead. This is probably my favorite Future State title so far. Yara is wonderful. Give me more of her.
