Very DBZ vibes this volume.

When the new baddies show up they come by as very "Vegeta" and "Nappa" in this volume of bleach. With both even having similar features of Big guy, looking super strong, small dude, being way stronger, and their vibes and the way they get beaten. However, both strike fear into the heroes as Ichigo actually needs saving in this volume while other heroes get brutally demolished. This ends on a lighter note, with some interesting change ups, and I'm excited where this series goes next.

Overall, worth checking out for sure. A 4 out of 5.

A bittersweet finale to a series I ended up really enjoying.

The pages begin to go by quick once the events of the last arc are wrapped up. We jump many timelines here, saying goodbye to the old, dealing with isolation, dealing with love, and dealing with...happiness. The ending is a ray of sunshine in a otherwise dark and scary outlook into the life and this world.

I really enjoyed the message we got here and the artwork is pretty top notch here. Every character we met gets a moment and we figure out what happens to each. It's sometimes hard to say goodbye but with all our main characters dealing with their life, and even death, we say goodbye to a otherwise great series.

A very strong 5 out of 5.

The savior rises...but it's not who you expected.

The first part deals with the "Friends" and the "game" and we get a weird, creepy, and kind of quick ending. But then we get back to Kanna and her mission to clear her uncles name and stop the friends. This is probably the most fun as we see Kanna take complete lead and use her skills to strike back. A little gambling, a little rebellion, and someone trying to shoot down the savior, we have a pretty explosive volume here.

While it is slow at times, and was worried I wouldn't get completely sucked into it half way through, the ending ramped it up and made this volume great. The ending left me going "What the fuck now?" and so I'm back in. A 4 out of 5.

This was so weird sometimes but somehow I couldn't put it down.

This starts off with a ninja named Gabimaru The Hallow and he's being sentenced to die. But every time they try to kill this guy he somehow survives. Trying to get his neck chopped off? Nope. Burning him to death? No effect. This whole time Sagiri, a woman Samurai, is trying to find out if he really wants to die. Once we get past the first chapter of learning who Gabimaru is we get into the main plot, finding a elixir to keep people alive forever. So Gabimaru and Sagiri are forced to work together.

This is a pretty brutal series. Gabimaru fighting style is quick, brutal, and we're talking about necks being torn out, legs chopped off, and more. It's not for the weak stomached, that's for sure. Sagiri also deals with a lot of pent up fear, and tus it is shown as demon like creatures clawing at her naked body, so if nudity is a thing you don't like this isn't for you despite it not being used "sexual". But the main heart of the story, these two broken characters working together, is interesting. Not to mention the stakes are high and some "major" characters I thought would be around awhile die off real quick.

For a new series it kept me in even if I feel it rushes so quick sometimes. I'll be checking out more though. A 4 out of 5.

Cyclops and Jean will do what rhey have to as parents...all talking and one of the best issues of the entire series.

Pure chaos. Everyone running, fighting, and a ending that'll set up the final part.

The end is here. Every Mutants must come and fight to protect what is theirs. Will Apocalypse make a huge choice here? What will happen after? Who will die? WHO WILL LIVE? It all stops here. A 4 out of 5.

Thanks to Hill's pacing this goes by quick and it's a nice read. Especially for fans of Gun.

I also enjoyed Spike in here, which is odd, because I normally dislike the character most of the time. However, they do a lot of great things with his character and even give him a terrifying moments of brutality that shows what he really is. And for a volume that has VERY little angel it does a goodjob with the rest of his crew.

Not sure where we go from here. And didn't love how the firm of all evil is shown here, but I'm still excited to see the whole crew together next volume.

Wow this was extremely boring and bland with a dumb ending.

I like Jordie's writing usually but the characters just don't have the same feel as I expected them too. I especially dislike how the new slayer is written, not fun at all. A 1.5 out of 5.

This is basically PG-13 Oz. Or CW oz. Or...well it's basically OZ but without the brutality.

That isn't to say it's a kid friendly version. I mean the story starts with a school shooting. So it's a dark take into the world of powers. The thing is the book tries to give you about 15 different storylines but the author doesn't do a great job juggling it all. By the halfway mark I was getting bored with about half of them.

Luckily the art is solid, and the pacing isn't horrible, and it does have some interesting moments of prison life. But with much better prison stories out there, you can find better. A 3 out of 5.
