This is all hell breaks loose as soul society members are now fighting each other.

The big fight here is Renji vs Byakuya. Byakuya true power shows itself as Renji believes he has the power to defeat Byakuya by unlocking Bankai...but will it be enough? On top of that we get Kenpachi crazy ass going head to head with multiple fighters. When you see this explosive monster go head to head with fighters you wonder how Ichigo even survived.

With the ticking clock going this non-stop action manga is at the height of its power. So much fun, explosive fights, and stakes never being higher. This is when Bleach Rocked. Now I remember why I enjoyed it as a teen. A 4 out of 5.

X-Force stays interesting throughout in it's second volume as we go deeper into the mind of Domino.

This volume scales back some of the action and lets Domino deal with being kidnapped and tortured with her skin peeled off of her from the last volume. A traumatic event to say the least and she debates with Peter if both should kill themselves and be reborn without the memory of pain inside of them. It's a real interesting look at the death and revival thing they have going right now in the X-men universe.

Then we deal with some plant like god creature, which might have resulted in being a loose tie in to Empyre. Then the final chapters are basically deciding if Peter (Colossus) has done wrong after Beast puts together some evidence. All this happening while a certain mutant hating community gets a new weapon that might help them.

Overall, it remains highly engaging. Sure, I believe there's TOO many storylines going on at once and not all as interesting as the core ones (Domino's story being the best) But still plenty of emotional bits spread between high end brutal action. This is the best X-Force since Remender's hands down. A 4 out of 5.

Wow this was pretty awful. The Steel story started decent but fell through at the end. The Outsiders story was atrocious to say the least. The Justice League 3000 was so confusing and out of left field I didn't even question what the hell was happening.

The only saving grace was Superboy issue was good. I liked seeing Superboy and Robin talk out their issues and try to figure out their life. I also really enjoyed his last stand.

But I can't give this higher than a 1...I tried and I just can't. Because the rest is pretty awful and Superboy can't save this one.

I never did read the famous "Knightfall" storyline for Batman despite reading thousnads of issues of the cape crusader. So I won a auction online for Book 1-3 that covers pretty much the complete run today for less than 40 bucks. Decided I'd read the Prelude to Knightfall on DC Universe to get myself ready. Am I ready? Kind of...

Actually this held up better than expected. Dixon writes half the stories while Doug moench writes the other half. And the thing is...They're kind of two wildly different writers.

Dixon relies on the art to show the inner turmoil more while giving us snappier dialogue and less of it. Moench is wordier (Though not to the extreme) and focuses on the internal dialogue more. So it's a bit jarring going back and forth.

But the main point of this book is to show a Batman pushing himself to his limits. With Dixon two stories we get one a bout a little psycho kid trying to run a gang and take out the Batman. It's comical in a sense it's a little kid doing it but kind of horrifying at the same time. Then there's a guy who basically hypnotizes people and makes them kill themselves.

On the flipside Doug has more basic stories of villains being...well villains. I can't even fully remember anyone except one dude dressed in all black with spikes on his head looking like Pinhead but too silly to take serious. But as we get to the end of his stories it starts to bleed into Bane's master plan and you can really see how worn out Bruce is at this point and how scared Tim and Alfred are for him.

Overall, this is mostly good. The Dixon stuff I'd even rate highly entertaining and solid art. On the flipside Doug stuff at the end got good but prior was just decent and the art at the start of his collection was pretty awful and only got good on the final two issues.

Still, the collection got me excited for Knightfall. Not amazing but solid. A 3 out of 5.

The word epic is used too much but man oh man, does it apply whenever Hickman is writing. The summer's family working together, Apocalypse and a band of other mutants go into the Otherworld only to meet something they never expected, multiple storylines from the past few issues coming all together, creepy villains everywhere...this is gonna be fucking amazing.

I was a tad disappointing how fast this wrapped up. Liar Liar seems like a great villain idea but she was defeated so quick it felt kind of "ok" at best. I did like Max remembered what Wonder Woman did. This might lead to some interesting ideas. As always the art is fantastic.

While not as strong as X-Factor Issue 2 this was still a solid end to Mojo World.

As I said previous, I'm not a fan of Mojo world, it's usually over the top and not very good. This issue was just decent. There's some great moments, especially with Draken and the last couple of pages. On a sad note, but also pretty funny at the very last epilogue page. Overall X-Factor has been good, but not amazing. Hoping the 2nd arc catches on and works well.

A good volume but didn't do much to wow me like previous volumes.

We finally meet a human outside of the orphanage and he's a bit fucking crazy. Talking to himself, other voices in his head, you know...kind of like a crackhead. Anyway Emma and Ray strike a deal with the crazy man while also getting a place locked down to keep the kids safe for now. The end results having Ray and Emma leave with the crazy guy back into the world of monsters but this time with a guide...but where will he guide them?

Overall, still exciting and fun but just felt more like a inbetween volume. Like building towards some big arc but this one was settling on a bit of character building and a touch of world building. I'm excited to see how our heroes escape the ending of this volume. A 3 out of 5.

The Three Jokers story gets a little deep into the mind of Jason and honestly gives us one of the best portrayals of the characters in forever. Not only is Jason interesting but the actions he does and the response from Batman and Barbara is great. Also the two Jokers working together is scary as shit and I live for it.

This is even stronger than the first issue. A 4 out of 5.

East of West starts as it ended, big, epic, and fucked up with a little spread of happiness.

East of West really evolved for me over the 10 volume series. What I enjoyed at the start turned into love by the end. Somewhere around the mid mark is when the series picked up, and by the end I was floored at all the different storylines Hickman told here.

The major storyline here is Death verses the remaining 3 horsemen. This is the fight we've been waiting for and let me tell you, shit was bombtastic. Also Death's son is the shining hopeful star here, and by the end I almost teared up at a certain scene. We also get closure on mostly every other character, and karma is a son of a bitch for some of them.

Overall, fantastic ending to a fantastic series. Well worth reading. A 5 out of 5.
