A writer who's getting close to the end of his life looks back at what he did. He robbed places, defending his family, lost his family, and now is trying to find peace with himself. When a old face he remembers come to him for help they work together to try and do one last robbery against a bunch of Nazi's. But what happens after?
This was a great graphic novel, a bit short, but worked really well. Enjoyed the character interactions, the art is amazing as always, the ending is REALLY good, and the narration is spot on. It's nothing brand new but this team always knocks it out of the park.
So venom heads off the a island to try and figure himself out. After almost joining the avengers, telling his son he's his father, and nearly destroying the world, he needs some soul searching. But this time he might need his son to get through this.
A fun and exciting adventure into the mind of Eddie Brock and try to save himself from the darkest desires and evil thoughts of carnage. With Krull coming the poor man is trying to get his life straight. By the end some exciting things happen and venom remains highlight entertaining.
This of course makes him question himself and then something horrible happens because it is Dceased! Overall fun and entertaining and a much better issue than the first. 4 out of 5.
Wally has to race around the world to protect the ones he loves the most. It starts right as Bruce calls him and tells him to be careful. He could be the most dangerous creature if infected. As we saw what happen to Barry it can be horrible but Wally assures Bruce he's got it. So he grabs his family including LInda, Max, Bart, and Jesse and together they work together to save humanity best they can.
It actually hits all the right notes. Shows why Wally is the BEST Flash. And also gives a lot of great emotion moments. A easy 5 out of 5.
So cap is having a rough time being on the run. Working with the daughters he tries his best to clear his name while also saving and protecting people. He is a superhero after all! But what happens when a cop-killer is set on the loose. Will Cap stop him in time? Who's bad? Who's good! These are the questions listed in this volume.
And that's probably the issue. The volume gets too caught up in who's who, and what's bad or good, to be super enjoyable. There's some solid moments, mostly Cap's internal mindset, the fights can be fun, and I like all the side characters. But the plot feels a bit too heavy for no reason and sometimes the art is pretty awful.
This isn't horrible or anything but just decent. a 3 out of 5.
No really. Didn't Superman just get outed like 5 years ago? But that was New 52 Supes. But people still found out he was Clark so....anyway... So now Clark decides to reveal himself personally to the world. And in doing so he expects a "nasty" reaction. But what does he get instead? Happiness? Concern? Well you'll have to read this to find out. This also finishes up the storyline with Jon saying goodbye to Damien before going with the Legion.
I really enjoy when this book focused on Lois and Clark. They're adorable together and feel like a married couple. Clark going to people most important to him before telling the public was a nice twist. Each hero reacting different to clark coming out was pretty great too. The art varies from amazing to just okay. The plotting was confusing as it looked like Superman gets his ass beat at one point then for two issues we go back days prior? Weird. Oh and Benids, I love you, but you got Damien's voice COMPLETELY wrong. His dialogue was weird.
Overall though I can't help but really enjoy the majority of the book because I think Bendis writes Superman himself very well. Super enjoyable and a 4 out of 5.
So right when we think Hulking might do some good he decides to flip the script and tell his two united race of people they might unleash a doomsday device on earth. Johnny Storm and Captain Marvel don't like the sound of that and stand tall against him and his race. At the same time She Hulk might have some huge issues on her hand and The Thing might be the only one to stop her. Everything is coming to a head as the race war gets heated. This is an intense event I'm loving.

Similar to Batman and Superman 80th anniversary we get different stories of Green Lantern. Best part is we get multiple green lanterns to talk about. DC wisely brings back huge writers who have written Green Lantern before like Johns, Ron Marz, Tomasi, and more.
The stories all range from decent to fantastic. The highlights for me being the very first story about Alan Scott. Didn't know I'd be so touch by the themes and storyline presented here. I also really enjoyed Johns basically final goodbye to Hal. The one about the 4 main green lanterns was great too. I also enjoyed Jessica Story alot. Simon's was a little on the nose, and I was a tad Disappointed in Kyle's because I feel Marz could do better.
Overall though this was a great tribute to the name Green Lantern and plenty to love here. A 4.5 out of 5.
