Finished the run that is considered one of the best of all time for X-men and I'm inclined to agree now that it is finished.

The story starts with Summers not having a good day. So Logan goes to check up on him at a bar and ask him for a favor. This leads to going after X-15. Wolverine, Weapon 13, and Cyclops go together to track him down. On top of that Xorn makes his move, and we finally see his true intentions. Last but not least is a story of the possible future and what could be.

I loved the hell out of the Xorn storyline. It has everything you hope. Political message, great fights, epic scale, and wonderful character moments. I also enjoyed the heck out of weapon 15, he was scary, but also kind of sad. The last storyline was the weakest by far in the whole run and could have been better.

Overall though Grant's run ends strong and I have to agree, as a X-Men fan, it's one of the best. A 4 out of 5.

Sorry, but least Heroes in Crisis had good art.

Seriously, I hate when a company goes one direction and decides to try and 'fix" it. Heroes in Crisis pissed off a lot of Wally Fans (Which I am a huge one but still loved it) and DC decided to try and "fix" this and give Wally redemption. Instead of hiring a competent writer to do this they hired Scott Lobdell. The guy who nearly tanked the entire Superman franchise in New 52.

So Wally is feeling bad for himself. But don't worry, a magical god like creature comes down, plucks him from prison, and lets him save the multiverse. In doing so he asks him to go through many universes, even one with a vampire Superman (So shit) and save everyone. This leads to the final two issues which mostly revolve around his family and making a huge choice on what the rest of Wally's life will be.

See here's the thing. Heroes in Crisis didn't all work. The murder mystery was just okayish. It had a good start but as it went on didn't really keep my interest as much. I also think the end result of who it was, well, too convoluted for its own good.

Now saying that I actually enjoyed a lot of the character moments. Depression, life traumatic events, alter and change people. Imagine you're a hero of an entire city, on the justice league, and all around great guy. Then imagine having your wife taken away, kids, and NO ONE remembers you. Then you begin to remember all this but no one else. Your powers go out of wack, your level of grief is uncontrollable.

This is what happened to Wally in Flash series and then heroes in crisis. They could have done a great redemption arc for this character who caused a lot of death. Instead we get to focus on multiuniverse adventures that are lame, and a main plot device that's both silly and stupid. The art is also pretty bad at points.

The one saving grace is Lobdell doesn't butcher Wally's voice. He's upbeat and happy, and always trying his best to do the right thing. The moments with his wife and kids are easily the best part of the entire book.

But it isn't enough to save this. The rest is silly and stupid and a waste for the character. The big twist at the end could be interesting but I guess we'll see.

Overall a 2 out of 5.

At first I wasn't digging this. The first two issues are pretty silly and not all that good.

Luckily that changes after issue 1-2.

Everyone has forgotten who they are. There's no such things as heroes. What happened? Well Dragonfly happened. Is this another alternate dimension? Why is the Anti-God returning? Lucy remembers it all but why is her father here? So many questions, so little time, and Black Hammer wraps up its first "Season".

Luckily the characters are so strong. Everyone has great character development and moments. I also loved the ending, as it was the only way it was ever going to really end. The twist on what has to happen is near too. Not a huge fan of the first two issues as the art is weird and also not that interesting plot wise.

Overall, great ending once get past the start. A 4 out of 5.

Descender goes into a dark place as we get the past revealed of all our major characters.

The story starts with Tim 22 hunting down Tim 21, and we see his past. Then we flip to see everyone's past from Driller to Bandit, to Effie, and more. The world building is great and shows how each of these characters were effected by the event. Devastating would be a underestimation of all the terrible events that had happen.

Loved alot of the background. Least interesting is Tim 22. But omg the best is Driller the Killer, made me nearly cry.

Jeff may stall the story here but the backgrounds are amazing. A 4 out of 5.

That's it...Demon Slayer is going down as one of the best Manga of all time for me.

The last volume you had our heroes pushing forward and splitting up with 2 vs 1 on two different teams. So that means they have the advantage, right? WRONG. This whole volume is basically every character being pushed to their limits. Bone crushing fights, stabs through the chest, mouth, and more. This is one of the most brutal fights I've seen in awhile. Will our heroes win or is this Berserk all over again and we lose?

I had anxiety reading this chapter. Every character felt close to dying, and at one point I had actually given up hope. The emotions run high as everyone gets a moment to shine but also almost die, which makes this an extremely exciting volume. Oh and even amongst all the crazy fights and such it still has some funny as hell moments.

I'm super excited to see where we go from here as the demons are royally pissed now. Demon Slayer is goddamn fantastic. A 5 out of 5.

This is basically an extention of volume 2, and moves the plot forward, but not in a major way till the very end.

Emma and co are getting close to their plan. This is mostly setting up every single piece to escape from the farm. But just when you think one of the Sisters has gotten a leg up on the kids we find out the truth. Will Emma and her friends be able to finish their plans or is it too late and the monsters will get them all.

While not as gripping or mindblowing as the previous two volumes I still enjoyed it. I liked the plot progression at the end and some shocking moments did occur there. I also like Ray and his ways here. I thought the other Sister storyline could have wrapped up a bit better, even if it surprised me. I also think the idea of escape is taking a bit long to get to.

Saying that still very enjoyable. A 3.5 out of 5.

Dceased has been a pleasure to read ever since it started. Well, I mean it's sad and a lot of characters you love die, but it's all done so well.

This issue we lose a TON of big characters. Ones that might have been able to change the future. The series gives you a LITTLE hope at the start but by the midway point it is ALL ripped away from you. With a stunning conclusion, great art, and heartfelt moments, DCeased remains a must read. A 5 out of 5.

Wow, builds up everything so nice. Now the future of X-men looks real interesting.

While not as strong as volume 1 the series still ends on a good note.

With Cap and everyone having to hit Namor back for what he did everything gets moved into the next stage. The biggest storylines being Bucky trying one last solution to help Namor. Cap and namor's history. And of course the fate of all the people and what happened to them in the previous volume and what will happen now.

Overall, it's still an exciting storyline with plenty of great action set pieces, wonderful character movements especially with Steve and Namor, and also the art holds up really well. I'd say the pacing feels off in this volume, a little rushed. Also, not sure what the bad guys goals were much at all, they got blurred in the end.

Oevrall good stuff and Chip once again proves that he does characters really well. A 4 out of 5.

By far the best issue in the "Powers of X" series. With time running out Apoc decides to make a final stand against Nimrod and his people. This means the few remaining mutants that are there push forward to reach Maria. The art is great, the fights are brutal, and the end results in some awesome shit that makes a ton of sense now for the previous issues.
