Powers of X continues to be intriguing if not somewhat confusing.

Again in this issue we jump from year 1, year 10, year 100, and year 1000. Each spells doom for the X-Men the further along we get. With Nimrod growing in power as the years go. Year 1 and year 10 are easily the most interesting. We have the X-Men we are very used to it where's year 100 and 1000 either have future take of X-men or none at all. With everything coming together in the present year with Xavier and Magneto teaming up, it is easily the most interesting part. But year 100 and 1000 fail to really interest me. So hoping the future issues change my mind. A 3 out of 5.

What's worse than Vampires? Nazi vampires!

This was actually pretty fun story. We have our main hero, Charles Chip, just trying to live out his vampire days in a small backwoods type town. However, when other vampires come into his territory, he begins to question if he should leave. Then they turn out to be Nazi Vampires and chip fucking HATES Nazi pieces of shit. So begins the mission to hunt each and every one of them and kill them all before they spread.

I really enjoyed the cast here. Chip is likeable, his backstory emotional, and his fight against Nazi pieces of shit is always good. I also enjoyed most of the side cast, and it is Seeley, so we do get some funny moments. The art is strong and there's plenty of great fight scenes and deaths. I thought the ending was kind of eh though if I'm being honest. But overall good old Nazi killing vampire story. A 3.5 out of 5, I'll bump it to a 4.

Lucy now knows what happened,

This volume is mostly a nailbiter due to finally knowing what happened and wondering what the heroes will do. With Dragonfly losing her grip on the situation, Lucy going through hell and back to get answers, and everyone else trying to figure out life, it all comes to one big conclusion, which might not be mindblowing but holy hell is it screwed up.

Another great volume from the Black Hammer universe. Lemire obviously has been wanting to write this series his whole life. Plenty of nods to famous DC characters and storylines but all done more mature in a lot of ways. Every character gets a big moment here and the reveal is pretty crazy. I'm excited to jump into the 4th volume.

A 4 out of 5.

Descender goes to a even darker place as multiple characters begin to shift around.

While Tim is taken by his new robot family and held up in high regards as the savior, we focus our viewpoint on a scrapper. What's that? Basically a guy who takes jobs to murder robots around the world. It's both sad and horrifying. On top of that we have our new Robot buddy Tim 22, who is a lot like Tim 21, but maybe not? Oh and we learn a bit more about the Harvesters and maybe the secret of their creation?

Plenty of major reveals here. I love Tim 21, and Driller is a Real Killer, as both are great characters. The new point of view here works well and the character introduced is both intriguing and a bit twisted on viewpoints. It is a bit predictable and sometimes the art makes it hard to tell what's happening.

Overall, like most of Lemire's projects, this is pretty damn good. A 4 out of 5.

Promised Neverland sticks to it's over dramatic and "escape" feel, which is great.

So now that we have the plan to get out of the crazy house, we have to begin the steps to do it. The biggest step being that we have to figure out how to get all the kids out of the house. Emma decides to begin training the kids in a game of tag and this helps make the kids move at a better pace. At the same time the other maid is trying to hunt them down while pretending to play as well. Ray has a big moment as well here that comes off rather shocking.

The series is a lot of fun. Moving at a quick pace, with plenty of shocking moments. I think the best part about the story too is just when you think someone is smarter than the other, there's a new clue or moment. I think the only negative is the twist, the spy, is kind of obvious on appearance alone.

A game of cat and mouse continues as this series stays highly entertaining. A 4 out of 5.

Overall pretty forgettable and I'm so tired of the Batman who Laughs.

Batman who laughs is fucking contained in the bottom of the Justice League hall and yet he's still up to NO good. Just kill this fucking guy already. He ain't even from the same universe, who cares? So have Batman and Superman team up to stop his plan of infecting everyone but is it too late? Has the guy succeed?

I'll be honest the art is really the saving grace here. Sometimes beautiful, with awesome action shots, that's what made me finish this one. Willliamson doesn't add much except some decent dialog for Batman and Superman, and also make the ending pretty different. The rest? Cliche as can be, and it's just one big brawl. Nothing new. Nothing worth reading till this year of villains is over.

A 2.5 out of 5.

Wow...emotional gut punch.

I won't lie, my eyes got a bit misty.

Okay, so, what is this about? Jimmy Robinson is discovering the future. He has created basically a magic wand of sorts with his science. In doing so he might become rich, but even more so, he wants to travel the universe. The story tells the story of a inventor, a scientist, but also of a heartbreaking tale of loss as time jumps forward too much and the time he should of had with both his wife and his son is forever gone.

This is a wonderfully told story that jeff Lemire cleverly wraps up with a superhero flare. With Jimmy being a fantastic main character, giving both his self-centered side, and a side of looking back and regretting almost every choice, you have multi-layered characters. If that's not good enough you have multiple world building moments for Black Hammer Universe that mix match Starman and Green Lantern Corps. On top of that the ending, or last issue, is near perfection and made me a almost cry at work.

This might be the strongest outing so far in the Black Hammer universe. A 5 out of 5.

So after a really good first arc we step into issue 7 and BOOM. Hickman ain't playing around.

We now see HOW our heroes are reborn. Or more, why are they reborn if they still live. Remember the moment you read "No More Mutants"? Well it comes back and we find out what happened to all those who lost their powers and what they want to do to be reborn.

This is a dark as fuck take, but I loved every moment. This is one of the best issues and most brutal.

Beautiful and a bit trippy. Storm is hurt and emma and jean go inside her mind to find out what happened. A interesting ending makes this a solid read with amazing art.

It has finished! And damn was this fun.

When Uncle Sam (yeah you read that right) fights with his army of freedom fighters but all are killed all hope seems lost. Nazi, named Razis here, have taken over the world. All hope is lost...TILL the new Freedom fighters arise. When they do Uncle Sam returns but he's still weak. People don't believe in change yet. And the Freedom fighters must band together, along with Uncle Sam, to show what America is all about.

This is insane, but it's also so damn fun. So many great fight scenes, and interesting twist, and horrible deaths, you can't help but be enthralled by this series. Sure, it took a bit to get into but once issue 4 kicked in, it became a must read. The art only adds to the badass action but also haunting scenes of death. The ending plays it a little safe but I enjoyed 85% of this series that I expected nothing out of. That's saying something.

A 4 out of 5.
