Uhhhh Why did no one tell me Jess is back on a team? WITH FUCKING BLADE AND WICCAN! COME ON NOW.

Seriously, I expected nothing from a comic titled after a mobile game (I love this game btw) and the oddest team maybe ever. However, it almost 100% worked in ways I never expected.

So we have Blade as the leader of this new Supernatural team. After most of them have been framed by shapeshifters, he decides to work with them to find out what's up. Of course every turn they make a new mystery appears. Even by the end it still unclear who and why this is happening but the team won't give up.

Man...this was so fun. I love the interactions in this comic. Stuff with Wiccan and the team is so funny. Jess is the best, and her little backstory was scary in here. I love the hell out of Blade, and him as a leader is badass. The art team did solid work with some cool fighting moments and great design. Overall, only the last issue is a bit confusing and messy but the rest was so good. A 4 out of 5.

Yo, what the fuck of the fuck?

Seriously, this series is just spazzing out. First we have this crazy ass guy finally flip and use the abomination to create a new villain in himself. But before that he does some hunting to take down all of Hulks "friends". Then after that the Hulk goes face to face with the beast but this time the guy is ready for him. Issue 25 though? What in the world?

This is the most insane comic Hulk has ever been in. I'll be honest, I didn't love issue 25 cause I didn't understand the ending zinger, mostly cause not a huge hulk fan before this. BUT everything before it? Everything leading up to it? Epic. Scary. This hulk feels like a REAL monster.

Is hulk ever gonna let up? OR Will it go down as a classic? Thinking a classic.

Justice League Dark goes...well freaking dark.

True to its name, we are in the magic and dark realm baby. When someone wants to take all the magic from every user on earth, will there be anyone or anything to stop them? That's the story here with Wonder Woman and Zanata trying to find a way to stop that. On top of that we get the first annual and it's all about Swamp Thing.

To be honest the main story was pretty good but not great for me. I was ready to go with a 3 out of 5. Then the annual came, and OMG, I loved it. Easily one of my favorite single issues for Swamp Thing. I'm really hoping this series keeps diving into the lives of the members and also the interactions between them all is gold.

A 4 out of 5.

Super Letdown. After a first good volume, this one goes way down. A few good fighting moments, even some good interactions, but overly wordy for no reason, a bunch of the same old same old death and inhouse fighting, and pacing is just either TOO quick or dreadfully slow.

Champions gets a slight makeover, and it is for the better!

Jim Zub does a smart thing and expands the champions, bringing in plenty of new faces. However, the focus is still on Sam, Miles, and Kamala. When Miles makes a big choice to reverse choices he then has to live with that choice. It's a nice twist on "reverse the mistake" but also focuses on building a Larger group of Champions with plenty of fun interactions.

This book smartly remains light but with heavy themes. These are teenagers, with teen problems, but also deals with consequences of action. The art remains stylish and works really well for this style of a book. Most of the pacing is real good but the last issue was a little odd placed. Still good though. Overall, a nice step up from the previous run. A 4 out of 5.

This was...insane? yeah insane works.

David Lapham easily became one of my favorite crime writers after reading Stray Bullets. I also enjoyed his Batman and Lodger recently that I read. So what about Young Liars?

Well this one is a little tough. Basically about a group of almost nonredeemable pieces of shit being assholes, hurting people, killing, and so on. The story focuses on Danny and Sadie. Sadie was shot in the head and turned a bit fucking crazy. She beats up everyone who messes with her and has zero cares in the world. You find out Danny's past and why Sadie is like who she is.

This is dark. You have multiple scenes of rape, murder, and gross situations. It mostly comes down to everyone being kind of a piece of shit. Oh top of that it flows fast and can feel jumpy which can be good or bad. You also will never be bored, but you also have to suspend a lot of disbelief on this one.

It's really a mix bag. I was intrigued but didn't really like any character. I am interested to see where it goes after the cliffhanger but not sure what to fully think of it yet. A 3 out of 5.

Disturbing as hell. More vicious killings, more terrible sexual situations, and a lot of forced "love" by a killer. It isn't high literature but it's hard to look away. This might be the last part I read, maybe down the line I'll read more.

Dr. Stone keeps up the fun with this volume where we get a murder, multiple new inventions, and a new character!

Senku has finally made the weapon to take down Tsukasa. Gun Powder! But will he even be able to wield it correctly to stop the "creator of the new world" and his vision? On top of that we have a new girl thrown into the mix and this one...might not be from the past? Born into this world perhaps! On top of that she's able to go toe to toe with Tsukasa? What is happening in this crazy ass volume of Dr. Stone!?

Just as fun as the last volume. The trio make a fun team as Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha all have great chemistry and all contribute to the group. I also enjoyed watching Tsukasa and Senku race to who can stop who first. The new girl introduced is pretty badass and cute, so I can't wait to see where that goes. All the intrigue of if there are people alive and living before Senku and how is great. I'm hoping this series continues to be a pleasure to read.

A 4 out of 5.

Bleak, disturbing, and brutal. Those would be the three words I'd used to describe this realistic horror title.

Roman is in hell. Well it feels like it. In the times of war when one wrong word about a dictator can send you to a life of imprisonment, Roman made a joke, and is suffering the consequences. When two of his fellow prisoners decide to bread free he follows them. But is the horrors of the cold world even more dangerous than the one inside a prison?

This is a brutal outlook of a survival story with horror sprinkled on top. If it wasn't bad enough seeing people being beaten to death you have to watch people go crazy and murder just to survive harsh winter conditions. I really enjoyed the characters, each giving off their own voice, and a reason to want to live. I also felt the art nailed the atmosphere and made it depression and cold at all times. I feel though the art, as much as I love it in Sink, made it hard to tell who is who face wise. Everyone looked very similar. And the story is semi-predictable but still very enjoyable.

Overall, if like realistic horror this one is for you. A 4 out of 5.

Green Lantern Legacy is another graphic novel for the YA line in DC. This might be the first I've read and I can see why it's so popular, even if it's not aimed for me.

This is the story of Tai and how he becomes a Green Lantern. Through his grandmother, he learns what it is to be a hero. While balancing home life, friends, and a new villain who, you guessed it, is using a yellow Ring, Tai must learn how to bring balance in the world and in his life.

This is pretty cool to see, and I like Tai a lot. He's both funny and charming and a good lead for the Green Lantern. The art is charming, with plenty of great designs (Tai's design is especially cool) and moves at a fast and fun pace. I didn't get super connected to the story as it is aimed at probably more the 13-17 crowd. It also plays it a bit safe, and easy to tell what'll happen. Saying that, great jumping on points for teens or even new Green Lantern fans. Way better than Earth 1 Green lantern.

A 3 out of 5.
