Finally back to the street level shit.

So Shredder puts his plan into action. His main target? LEO! As the foot goes after the turtles and their master splinter, other villains decide to take this opportunity. You can feel this one was far more quick paced and setting up some epic showdowns. Some betrayals might not see coming, some big fights, and some funny moments set up the first half of city fall into something worth reading. Hope part 2 is even better. A 4 out of 5.

I'm not really sure what this story was trying to do. The idea of someone going to prison for no reason is horrible. So the idea for this story works. But then our main character is the cop who is so focused on putting that man back in jail. But then you get the big conspiracy of someone else setting everyone up. I just couldn't really get into ANY characters. I also didn't like the art too much. Overall, confusing, a bad ending, and a overall meh story.

Well it has my man Stained in it, so it's already better than volume 1.

To be hones the first half isn't all that great. It's not bad but it's average. Basically Crawler learning to use his power thanks a nice Cameo from a main character from the original series. Then have a arc of these criminals stealing girl's panties...it's kind of dumb and nasty. Last but not least is the stained arc and that one is great. Basically a origin story of sorts for that character.

I really hope the next volumes give longer arcs like the Stained one since it grows multiple characters and gives them depth. Had some nice character development and cool moments. Still not great or amazing but getting there. 3.5 out of 5.

This was decent.

Maybe I just don't like the Legion of Super-Heroes. They're kind of cheesy and boring. Anyway, they ask Superman for some help. Superman travels to the future. This future is bad for supes since the whole earth is covered with the red sun. Supes is weak. Supes is still the beacon of hope though. Supes will fight with the legion. And...he will win since he's supes.

This isn't bad. I enjoy Johns Superman a lot. He writes Clark heroic and brave, I love that. All the dialogue is actually pretty solid and the pacing is well enough done and explained that won't be confused. Saying that, I didn't care for most of the characters, this art didn't work for me either, and I just didn't care about the ending. Overall a 2.5 out of 5.

I knew from issue 1 Tom Taylor would nail Spider-man. I mean, as in writing him, not having sex with him.

Now that we got my horrible joke out of the way let's talk Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man. The issue 1 to 5 is basically one big story. Spidy saves people, finds mysterious kids in his room after a woman he swore to protect goes missing, and meets a woman named Rumor. Together they go to the underground of New York to save her. Then we have a solo story of Spider-bite. Which I won't spoil at all because it's that good.

Love it almost all. The art is near perfect for what it goes for. I love the interactions with Peter and all the people around him too. The storylines are simple but work really well. The ending is near perfect, and love the heck out of Spider-bite. The only negative is maybe the "bad guy" in here is just okay. A 4 out of 5.

Honestly lost interest. Thor is such a tough sell for me. This one didn't work for me either.

This ties up some big storylines that have been happening in a very satisfying way.

The first half of the book focuses on Felicia and sadly her push back into the hunt of vampires. It's a sad tale, one of being forced into a life you never want, but one that is given to you. But this closes up a big storyline as well as settles mysterious on certain characters. Second half is about Pearl and her revenge for what has happened to her husband. On top of that Skinner has returned but maybe not how you'd expect.

This is really pretty damn good. I loved all the stuff with pearl and her growth as a character has been great. The stuff with Felicia is just as good and her growth as a character is amazing. Skinner is still one of my favorite guys to hate yet always enjoy reading. Last but not least the art is still great.

Overall some great stuff. This might be the best volume yet. A 4.5 out of 5.

Bad Weekend is issue 2-3 of the new criminal but it's confusing as I wonder where the hell issue 1 went. Anyway, this is still great.

So this is a story about a retired comic artist who basically transformed from a kind man to a asshole. So basically Alan Moore. Now that he is crabby and annoyed at life he is forced to go to a comic con with his old assistant, Jacob. Jacob is not enjoying much of his time with his old mentor but he does what he must because of old times. This turns quickly into a crime story and then a sad tale of loss and forgetting.

I really enjoyed a lot of it. The ending is really predictable but the story and the way it is told is near perfect. The emotions run high, the art is fantastic as always, and the way you feel for a asshole like Hal is perfect. I really enjoyed this and want more Criminal from Ed brubaker for the rest of my life. A 4 out of 5.

Still not feeling this much. I mean the fights are still epic and brutal and that's great, but the rest? It feels like it's missing the connection to the characters. Maybe I just can't get used to the change. Owell...still decent.

The girls refuse to let these BOYS stay in their school and they'll do whatever they need to so they are expelled for good.

This volume is a lot of plans moved forward. From the betrayal of a friend, multiple plans to get them expelled, and a ton of funny moments this is more of the same. I think this volume's focus on one of the weaker character's of the boys crew hurt it some. I didn't care much about this character and didn't feel much for him even when his plan fell through. However, there's some really funny moments involving panties getting stuck on a door while the warden is still in them, and a moment of eating a toilet product. It's weird. Read this.

Not as good as volume 1-2 but still solid. A 3 out of 5.
