Story: So after the great defense of the farm attack, things slow down. The Goblin Hunter is wanting to do more adventuring with his new crew of weirdo friends. So he recruits them to go under the main city to kill some goblins. Sounds easy, right? However, the one who sent him and his gang there might have something evil planned out!

Art: Remains solid. There's one awesome shot of a new villain that I love the design. Also, everything moves quickly in fights and just as brutal as ever.

Enjoyment: I dug the later half of this volume. The new villain who appears at the end looks like a lot of fun for the next volume. I enjoyed watching the Goblin Slayer work and the way he takes out goblin home bases is awesome. I also enjoyed getting to know the other characters and of course seeing even the Goblin Slayer grow as a character.

What didn't work: This is a HUGE slowdown from the last volume. One whole chapter is basically just typical JRPG talking to take the quest. Wasn't fun or interesting, and not sure why it had to take so long. The carnage is toned down and slowed down to a point I was bored a bit.

Overall, a slower volume than I had hope for. While not the best volume it's still entertaining at points and the 2nd half brings it up a bit. A 3 out of 5.
