This was a lot of fun! Always like when I'm surprised.

So this is during the Dark Reign era. If you don't know what that is, it's when Norman Osborn became president of the united states in the marvel universe. On top of that he began his OWN Avengers named the Dark Avengers and to replace Clint as Hawkeye he got Bullseye. What's the major difference between Clint and Bullseye? Well they can sure shoot the same way but Bullseye is a crazy fucking asshole, and that makes this killing spree title a vastly different title than our normal Hawkeye comics.

Good: Bullseye is over the top but very scary. The way he kills people is just...disturbing. It's high paced quick read with mostly murdering sprees left and right. You also even get bullseye his villain in a way, though guess he'd be semi-good guy? The art is pretty solid and some brutal scenes drawn to Hawkeye/Bullseye savage style.

Bad: The twist is kind of eh, and been done a million times. Ends as quick as it comes.

Overall a ton of fun. Worth reading just because we'll never get another Hawkeye title with so much death. A 3.5-4 out of 5.

Some dubbing this the "Rape" manga or anime. So with that, some people staying far away. However, once get past the factor these Goblin creatures do terrible things to humans it's actually pretty entertaining manga.

So the story starts off simple enough. If ever played a JRPG or any RPG really you'll get the idea. A Band of warriors get together to go on a quest. Their mission? To kill some goblins. Seems simple enough. They have a healer, warrior, rogue, and one other and they are ready to kill some baddies! However, the series takes a dark turn as these goblins quickly start slaughtering the fighters. Once doing so they don't stop there, poising, raping, and hunting them down. It's only when the Goblin Slayer, a man (or maybe woman) dressed in complete armor starts taking those goblins out.

Good: The viciousness of the series is kind of refreshing. They don't really spend time giving you reasons to why to hate the goblins, no big backstory, it's that they're evil little shits hellbent on murder and raping. That's what they do. I also enjoy the fact the warriors all get wrecked so quick as it gives us actual stakes. The last chapter in this collection is pretty great, giving us a sneak peek into how the Goblin Slayer handles the goblins in a tactical way.

Bad: It is very over the top and bloody so it's not for everyone. I also thought the slower backstory of how warriors get their quest and such gave a huge halt to the pacing. Some cliche characters too get annoying.

Overall it's a very interesting series that's worth checking out for the brutal nature of it. Haven't read one this fucked up since Wolfsmund. I wonder how it'll continue to progress. A 3.5 out of 5.

Ehhhh wanted to like this more.

It isn't that Accell is awful or anything. We have a guy who discovers he has super speed powers and decides to do good. However, our main hero isn't all that good. Questioning his girlfriend love and not really caring about his family, he drifts into a more assholish mood. However, he thinks he's nearly invincible until he goes against a guy who whoops his butt. He takes that as a sign and heads to the desert to train.

Good: The art is sometimes vibrant and fun. I love the scenes of Accell on fire right after he dashed far and such. I also think he can be funny and occasionally got a laugh or two here.

Bad: The main plot point can't be more generic. The main villains couldn't be more boring. The whole mobster dad mad at his daughter has been done in so many things it gets annoying. I also thought the art sometimes lacked and can be confusing with the training stuff. What the hell was that ending too? Feels like it started off with a plot but lost it.

Overall, I like the idea and set up but it's finished product leave a lot to be desired. I'm really hoping it improves though. A 2 out of 5.

This was a pretty fun comic.

SO what happens when Batman gets a virus? He starts cracking heads and figuring out how to cure himself. When he begins to figure it out it lands on the Joker's doorstep. We're about to get a big showdown but we find out Joker has the SAME virus. Who would poison both the Joker and Batman??? They decide to work together, begrudgingly. So will they solve the case in time or....

Good: The actual team up is pretty entertaining. Joker and Batman together will give you laughs just because of how insane Joker is. I also thought some of the fights were extremely brutal and gave a feel of how it be to watch Batman fight. Especially a Killer Croc fight and Bane fight. The ending was also pretty solid.

Bad: Some of this art was REALLY hard to see what the fuck was happening. Also, sometimes the dialogue dragged scenes and made no sense, which I guess is to be expected with two poisoned people. Still, it got a little annoying.

Overall a fun elseworld style story. It won't blow your mind but the joker/batman dynamic is fun none the less. Check it out! 3 out of 5.

Lots of lesbian sex and bug ladies. What could go wrong?

This is a story of an abused woman who has had enough from her husband and falls in love with her servant. This starts off normal enough but soon you find out the servant is not all that human, and they begin to lay eggs inside each other, and babies come about! So then they plot a revenge scheme on the husband and...yeah story is off the walls crazy.

Good: I liked the art, and the story starts off pretty interesting.

Bad: The rest of the story after issue 2 gets confusing and, frankly, boring. I don't understand why they tried to add in this butcher, and it's over stuffed on some pages with too much going on that you can't understand it.

Overall, it's kind of a boring story for as much sex and gore is in it. It just didn't impress me much and left me not wanting to continue sadly.

Oh...no...just...No.

Another meh volume of a series I once really enjoyed.

This series ends on a whimper. Peter is still blaming himself for all his weakness in life. It's true, he did cause a lot of horrible things, but usually not on purpose. That would fall on Toyo. So what does Peter do? Leave all that behind while Toyo simply decides to challenge war on the entire world. NO more games, no more hiding, he is showing who he truly is. Everyone is in fear, and they should be, he is nearly unstoppable and someone like Peter gives up there's no hope.

Good: I enjoyed the fact Peter dwells on his past actions. The fact he doesn't just accept what is happening is nice. I also like Toyo basically telling the world "step up" and he's ready to fuck shit up.

Bad: The story itself starts off interesting enough but hits a roadblock around half way through. Just a ton of talking, really about nothing, and Peter fails to do anything which makes it just boring. Then the series ends with a flashback, origin story, that NO one asked for.

Overall this series fails to bring anything new to the series and continues it's very very meh feeling. I'll try the first volume of the next series titled Imperium, and hope it's more like volume 1-2 of Harbinger. A 2 out of 5.

Green Arrow is back!

Guess who's the new mayor? That's right. Oliver himself. Another rich white dude to run a city, that's new! But wait, Oliver has a heart of gold. He wants things to change. Except, he actually goes out and stops crime and tries to change things. When Slade enters his city though, things are about to get a little scarier. Not to mention Brick, our old favorite evil gangster is getting attacked by zombie people. What's happening here?

Good: The art is solid, I really like the design and such here. I thought the storyline with the mayor stuff was okay. Not all that interested in the political side of things here. I enjoyed Green Arrow vs Slade a lot, and also the Brick stuff was interesting.

Bad: The time jump, one year later, is okay but feels disjointed. Especially compared to the send off of the last volume.

Overall it's solid good old green arrow stuff but nothing crazy. Hoping that Judd Winick run ends as strong as it started. A 3 out of 5 for this one.

Another dud. So sad. I like Brian Wood a lot, and I really enjoyed volume 1 of this run, but wow...

So this deals with more future crap. I can see why people are just getting fed the fuck up with future stuff and X-Men. Someone coming back, saying evil is coming, it does, and x-men stops it. It's just...boring. This whole thing is boring. There's some moments with Jublie trying to be a good mom that work, and storm working to be a leader, but the rest? A snoozer. Even the art feels kind of lifeless. So yeah, a big old meh. A 2 out of 5.

What in the fuck?

That was probably my thought process 80% of the time here. So Milkman Man (Not a typo) is on a rampage. His quite little town of peacefulness is breaking down and it's up to all the Young Animal characters to come save the day. So this story starts with Doom Patrol and ends with them but inbetween get Shade, Mother Panic, and Cave all being a part of the overall storyline to stop our favorite heroes from being stuck in the retacon world.

Good: It's very vibrant, craazy, and fun. It's never boring, that's for sure, and some of the solo stories are great. I loved the one with Mother Panic and Priest Batman. Also the ending was wacky as shit but I kind of loved it.

Bad: The Shade Storyline was pretty bad, and the pacing was uneven to tell the truth. Also, very confusing if never read any of the single character storylines.

Overall fun and crazy with a little topping of silly but it works. It's not great all the time, and some weak moments, but overall worth checking out. A 3 out of 5.
