And so the adventures of the kid avengers continues.

This one is a couple of different storylines in one. It's nice to see they stick to growing the relationship of most of the kids. They're dealing with Viv and Cho's relationship, what to do when the Freelancer's come in and ruin the Champion's legacy. It ends with the Champions maybe going up against the Avengers themselves while also dealing with the fallout of secret empire.

Good: I enjoyed a lot of the stuff with the characters interacting. Them together are a interesting group. I also enjoy the art a lot. It's nice and smooth, the action looks great, and the ending leads to something new.

Bad: The story is pretty bad at points. Some of the dialog feels forced. A little reactive to Twitter comments. I love waid for most part but think he took the internet too seriously. Best to ignore them and you can tell he was writing about them sometimes here.

Overall this was fun. I like the group here, the fighting, the interaction, but the rest is kind of lifeless or dull. So a 2.5 out of 5, I'll round it up to a 3.

This is the weakest volume in the series so far. Saying that, it's still good!

So now we're dealing with the gamemaster and him destroying mutant town. Pretty fucked up, huh? but it's not X-Factor with our pals Jamie and crew dealing with life issues and relationship problems. When everyone begins to drift away and the events of Massiah complex taking our Laila away, we begin to have everyone going different ways. Oh yes, and someone is prego. Because nothing like baby-mama drama!

Good: I liked all the character's interaction and of course them dealing with each other. They all act so human-like it's great. The art is still very unique and special and I really enjoy it. Oh and the ending...well damn, where we going from here?

Bad: I thought the gamemaster or whatever was a weak villain. Also the whole big bad shield like people coming in was kind of been there done that.

Even at it's weakest X-Factor is still plenty entertaining. As long as this is the worst I'm going to love the whole series. A 3 out of 5.

Well damn I loved this. I guess I gotta go back and read the original.

So this is a story about the 70's where superheroes are dealing with a lot of political issues. It's really about three main characters. Amber, who is basically a terrorist in ways, a liberator you could say, of trying to show the government can't keep her and her people down. Ole Miss is a southern person who is running for political nature. Mostly deals with the "white is right" or "southern pride" thing going on. Last is Jason, who is basically a black captain america type character. All of them collide at points but the main central story revolves around the three and the issues from race, to violence, to other terrible things around them.

Good: Loved the themes here. It does talk about issues back in the 70's, and sure some changed, but some still very much real in this day and age. The fights are brutal, never flashy, and people die without much warning. There's very little plot armor here. The look into the political nature of things is great, I also thought the themes of loss, and rebelling, and of course death all work well. The art is really solid as well.

Bad: I thought it wrapped up too quickly. I'd taken another issue or two.

overall loved it. Political stories aren't for everyone. Sometimes I feel they try to hard or fall flat but this one hit all the marks. I gotta go read the first right away. A 4.5 out of 5.

So as a manga reader for over 20 years, and anime watcher, you hear a lot of "the manga is so much better" as much as people go "the book is so much better than the movie". So with Tokyo Ghoul I took it with a grain of salt. Now there are times the Manga is better than the anime but it's almost always over exaggerated. However, Tokyo Ghoul would be the major exception.

So in the anime this is where season 2 came in and a lot of meh came with it. Ken became gloomy and boring, the fights were lifeless, and the storyline was a jumbled mess. However, volume 8 of the manga? Goddamn this shit kicks it into high gear.

Between the doves dealing with "The Owl" to Ken facing off against Ayato after Ayato tortures his sister and defeats her. That's okay though because Kaneki will handle him by breaking 103 bones in this fools body. Shit is violent and wonderful. Oh and we also get some HUGE changes that'll effect the rest of the series.

Good: Loved the heck out of the fights in this one. Brutal, vicious, and a lot of emotions. The background with Ayato and Touka is powerful and works to build both their characters. I thought the ending was great to a build up. How wonderful is they kept Kaneki mood. He's happy and cheerful yet now he has a Ghoulish side. Much better than moppy and sad one from the anime.

Bad: Some of the fight scenes hard to follow.

Overall this shit is fucking amazing. Fast paced, great emotion, and so much better than the anime at the same point. I gotta go with a 5 star easy.

This was pretty fun.

Luke Cage decides it's time to bring a team together. A street level Avengers team. Well, of course not by his own choice. Thanos's henchmen come down and Luke, Superior Spider-man, and a couple of other heroes fight against them. That's when Luke begins to start the Mighty Avengers. Of course Superior Spider-man don't like that shit and goes against him for the leadership.

Good: Overall fun and easy read. Lots of good nerdy jokes if you are fans of these characters. The art was solid, fun, and easy to follow. Oh and Luke as a leader is always great, he has a awesome anime moment here.

Bad: It's nothing we haven't seen. Quips left and right can get boring. I also didn't like how they made Superior Spider-man kind of dumb.

Overall this was fun. I might keep reading. I don't know if it's a must read but if like Luke Cage get plenty of him! A 3 out of 5.

Well damn, I finally found a Loki story I actually like.

After Journey into Mystery I didn't think I'd ever read this. I kind of had it on the backlog but just never thought to really check it out. However, I picked this up and figured fuck it. I'll try it. Glad I did though!

Loki is a new man. He's working for the all mother and trying to be a, well agent of Asgard. In doing so of course comes a lot of backstabbing and lying but that's part of who Loki is. The best part is the reveal of who Loki's main enemy is and by the end of the volume it really ramps up the "oh shit" moments.

Good: The art is great. However, it's the dialog and playful banter between everyone that jives real well. I've never been a HUGE Al Ewing fan but here, Lok is plenty funny, and so are most of the side characters. Also the villain is great. I won't spoil it but damn it's good.

Bad: Some backstory and lore gets in the way of the pacing in the middle.

Overall really fun, enjoyable, colorful, and exciting adventure. I'll be reading more of this for sure. A 4 out of 5.

Wow this was a lot of fun.

So this starts off very different that it ends up. So we start with a murder mystery. Addison is our main hero, or character, and when her friend and his father are killed and she finds out who it is she murders them. But it isn't a simple revenge tale. She starts hearing voices, seeing ghost, and being trained by her grandfather to become a killer. A magical killer. Yeah...this series goes fucking insane and I kind of love that.

Good: I really enjoyed the art design. Unique, different, very colorful, and worked really well. Addison is a good main hero and something different. Oh and the whole building up and why her grandfather killed and why she is works well. Solid dialog too!

Bad: Not a HUGE fan of the time jump. I was hoping to see the build up and training of learning to kill. It goes from Addison's first kill to her 16th without any pause.

Overall this is a ton of fun. Unique and different, and wonderful color design, I'm excited to keep reading this series. A 4 out of 5.

What's better than Lesbian lovers? Lesbian sister lovers! Well, they're step-sisters. Japan ain't game of thrones everything quite yet.

Okay so this outspoken girl, Yuzu, is all about being cool and trying to be popular and of course dating boys! That is until she finds out a classmate, Mei, becomes a step sister because Yuzu's mom remarries and now they live together. But hey, it doesn't stop there. When Yuzu catches Mei making out with a teacher she plays a little game of "I'ma tell everyone" but mei jumps up and gives Yuzu her first kiss. This is when Yuzu begins to experience feelings for girls!

Good: Art is pretty solid. It bounces back and forth between funny comedic bits and some more emotional moments. I was actually surprised how much a series like this tried to build on relationship part of things and showed how important family is instead of being pure fan service.

Bad: Saying that, the plot is okay at best. I mean, this is a series about two sisters falling in love. Things happen, way over the top, and then of course all gets settled quickly because, well girls like girls, and they are sisters, and we need to see them make out more.

Overall this is a fun little series. I think I'ma keep going. No, not just because it has Lesbian sisters. I think the characters are interesting enough and the comedy is pretty solid. I'm hoping this series builds up to a stronger story, I think it could actually talk about important subjects like rape and sexuality. Let's see! A 3 out of 5 for now.

This one pretty much continues the big brawl with the crazy other team. This will be a short review. Some cool moments, one involving a double team between two characters verses one monster and this monster is swift as fuck so was great to watch. Also there's a funny moment with glowing eyes blasters. Won't spoil but good stuff. Rest was just a lot of fighting, a few deaths, and that's about it. A solid, action packed volume, a 3 out of 5.

Cute but not aimed for me. The art work is also not to my liking, really rough and makes the fights kind of ugly to be honest. I will say it's interesting to see Batman as the bad guy though. But I think this is more suited for like teen girls and such who will enjoy this a lot more than me.
