It’s a really clever concept, combining religions and gods for the afterlife. I find that so clever, however the first bit dragged a little for me. It might just be me, I like a bit of action. despite this I did enjoy the funny dialogue from Lana and the build up for the next books. I reckon this would be great read with the other books, I’ll be looking in to reading the rest soon 😊

I have enjoyed every moment of this series, as it is my first book series to fully read and have enjoyed it. When I started this book, I was so full with excitement to finally see that happens in the end! And I am happy to say that the ending was suited to this amazing yet unfortunate story. This was one of my favourites in this series, I especially love Violet because she is the inventor but then I feel a connection to Klaus because he adores books as much as I do.

2nd read:
I still think Olaf is a truly great villain. Despite it being a children’s book the author makes him as real as any other villain - threatening lives and depicting him as highly intelligent. I think the contrast between Olaf and the other adults in the book highlights the unjust nature of the world, because even though people like Mr Poe and Jerome mean well they just don’t make a difference. Whereas Olaf - the one villain, impacts the Baudelaires to such a great extent.

Even though it was super hard to read, all the descriptions and such, it was enchanting and I’m immersed in the characters and story. My heart lies with Sam Gamgee

I am ashamed to say, that I have only recently decided to read this series. I've seen of the films and have been meaning to read them, I just haven't gotten round to buying them. But this lasts no longer!
I absolutely loved this book, Harry Potter is amazing of course! This is enchanting and can capture you within this magical tale.
And plus, Harry potter doesn't need a review to tell you to pick it up if you haven't already. C'mon, it's harry potter

I was immersed - read part 1 so quickly I need to read it again. I find aang and katanas dialogue a little cheesy but it’s cute how much they care for one another

This was a cover buy as I saw it in a shop going for £1, but I was not disappointed.
In the beginning I found it hard to latch onto however around mid way through I developed attachments to the characters.
This takes us though Louis' life through small anecdotes told by his brother while Louis is going through brain tumour treatment.
I didn't cry though I got moderately upset (especially the end few chapters).
'This is the life' has a depressing aura to it yet has its laugh out loud moments, therefore it's acquired 4 stars just because of the sheer heartfelt nature.

n the second book we begin to gain an insight into Voldermort, as Harry, without realising it, drifts into the memories of his nemesis through an enchanted diary. Harry is not the first person to possess Voldermorts memories however, in fact Ron’s younger sister Ginny, who is in her first year at Hogwarts, has been pouring her heart out into the pages of the diary for months and the diary, disguised as a caring ear to Ginny, has been using her life to become more and more powerful himself. As Voldermort’s power has grown he has used Ginny to unleash a deadly terror upon Hogwarts, an unknown killer that seems untraceable and leaves his victim’s paralyzed by fear.

Reread 2019: dobby forever has my heart

Omfg i love this with all my heart. I love the humour the characters and thank god it didn’t end like All The Bright Places.
