It's a modern fairytale alright! This was absolutely beautifully written in every way, the plot revolves around a young boy called Michael whose baby sister has an illness affect the whole family. Then he finds skellig, this half human half angel half something creature who shares a hand of kindness to him and his family for helping him regain his strength. Amazing i enjoyed reading it thoroughly

My goal in life is to read as many classics I can, why? Because I need to experience many generations of literature- as well as conversation topics with superiors.
This is the first Sci-fi classic I've read and I'm not disapointed. It tells the story of two points of view (one more often than the other) about what happens when aliens invade London and how the events afterwards unravel.
In my opinion a good read and greatly enjoyable!

Reread 2024 - Tanith :'( I'm excited to where this series is going. I enjoyed the villain pov, tesseract was a fun character. I like how Landy humanised him at the very end, making us feel sad for this death.

Across the country, other mortals are developing magical powers. Valkyrie Cain and Skulduggery Pleasant fight and capture one of these mortals, who has become a werewolf.

This book took a fantastic twist on the series, and focuses on four particular teenagers who have developed powers. Another thing I love about this book is that it has Valkyrie as a teenager, even though she was sarcastic teenager when she was 12, her personality has had it's chance to bloom and by god it has.

2024 reread - good, felt the plot wasn't as strong as previous books. But really nice additions to the overall plot of Vile and Darquesse, as well as the Reflection.

I will always love the Skullduggery Series, I always have and I will certainly recommend this book series to any of my friends. This book has a good plot, good twists, great characters so please read it.
I was dreading the beginning because skulduggery wouldn't be in it (as he's my favourite sassy character) but to my surprise he came in only a few chapters in.

This is a reread because I accidentally deleted this book beforehand, and you know, who doesn't want to reread skulduggery pleasant?
This book starts is about the necromancy order and how their death bringer is found and is going to start the passage that is going to save the world. However the means aren't the best, and yet again Valkryie and skulduggery are going to have to sort it out.
I forgot how well landy's work is, it shows the more heartfelt side of the two partners' relationship while maintaining humour.

Reread 2024 - I loved it. The progression is skullduggery and valkyrie's relationship is so sweet. I love these two together. Absolutely lovely.

I've picked up the peanuts books because my father collected a few as a child and kept them in good condition.
I read this particular book within an hour or so because I couldn't keep my eyes away! It was good to delve back into the lives of Charlie Brown and friends, accompanied by good humour from Mr. Schulz.

Never fails to make me laugh, it's time to open up the old snoopy DVDs and have a good evening!
