It's really sad to see sayaka have the same fate as the OG manga, but it fits into her character well. Showing that she has the same ethics is consistent with her character! And it was lovely to see sayaka taken away by madoka. Ahh the feels

Really love this series! It bridges the gap nicely in between the anime and rebellion!

I loved this book. I loved Carey and penny and Michael. The ending broke my heart. This book was amazing

I was expecting something different, but this was still a good read. Once I started reading it was difficult to stop - all the characters were amazing and so likeable (especially biffa).
The climatic end was everything I wanted. It was easy to forget its a children's novel - but 100% worth the read for any adult.

For teachers: warnings of death, theft, slight bullying and hints at swearing.
Topics that you could link this to: history, Anglo saxon, Charles dickens. Though the history mentioned is stated to be inaccurate - still a nice hook to grt children interested in a history topic.

I could totally relate to this! As i am a young teenager i could relate to valentines day sickness, and it was a fun pass by to keep my mind off of the inevitable loneliness February 14th brings. So if you want to laugh and read a book quickly this is the one to read.

I read this book when I was about 10 and I loved every minute of it. Because it's got simple language which I could understand and I loved how she developed characters. *SPOILER* I loved finn, i think it is. Because he's just the older boy every girl can relate to liking, and the good thing i liked is in a later book she did mouse has his own story told in Lucky Star.

I fell in love with this book because the love interest is just perfect. This book has it all, humour, romance, sad moments and overall an embarrassing family i think any child could relate to. Ive read all of her old books like this (dizzy, indigo blue, Scarlet, Lucky Star, Driftwood) and this is bordering my favourite between scarlet.
