At the beginning I found it slow and a little mundane, but what I didn’t realise about this book is not the amount of action but what was happening. I’m now thoroughly invested in Thorn, Ophelia and how their story will continue in the next novel.

It was okay - not bad but not the best of his work

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It kept my hooked from the beginning. King does a fabulous job of making you connect both with Paul and Annie. Paul's ramblings and his slow decent in madness is fantastic - the stream of consciousness was brilliant and really connected me to Paul and his feelings. I loved the detail and Annie's back story as well as the gruesome torture. The rat's blood made me squirm 100% the reference to the overlook made me chuckle. I love the idea that all his novels are in the same universe
As of now, its My favourite king book

Ah! Davy. He was just a kid. Good ending can't wait to see where it goes!

I really liked the way Davy's character became more sympathetic as we got to know him. Highlighting that he was just a kid vying for his Pa's love. Mayor prentiss however- absolute fantastic character because of how twisted he is! This plot really blurs between right and wrong. 'We are the choices we make' is very hard hitting.
Also viola and Todd's relationship is so cute and adorable and I love them. Also viola blushing at Lee??? Yes please

Absolutely love the twist at the fnd. Bogdan was a goof chap!

I had high hopes for this after seeing all the reviews, and it came through but not in the way I was thinking.
I was constantly wondering whats next and the humour in this is lovely.

This feels like an extension of the second book, but in a good way. Honestly Patrick Ness has a way of redeeming characters. So the mayor was awful, but honestly it's heartbreaking because it shows a blurry line between good and bad. Even mistress coyle - she wasn't bad or good, just human.

This whole trilogy has been a question on human morality and I'm living for it.
I'm remaining hopeful for a 'happy' ending for this book. As happy as it can get, but God This series was good.
