It was okay, the audio book made it more enjoyable. If I hadn't I would've loathed Dora's sections. Like how they intertwined, wouldn't read again but not bad
I love this so much! The queer representation is amazing and how eloquently it was explained! The ending was so sweet and charming. The art is gorgeous and I adore it!
My jumble of thoughts after finishing:
Great character building, Sabran's development was gorgeous. The queer representation was brilliant, amazing detail within histories. I loved how each story intertwined into the main arc. The way it was left leaves room for a compelling next book, though the pacing I felt could've been better. The first half was developing characters and setting the scene, helping the reader understand the politics of this world. I felt all the action was condensed - the final battle could've been drawn out to match the hype.
BUT despite this, I enjoyed this book 100% and I will be reading its prequel very soon.

I liked it! I really enjoyed the multiple perspectives, letting the reader piece together the story. With each chapter we got to know each of the characters and their motives /backstories. With this it enabled the reader to be misdirected and even begin with their own theories (I certainly did), which adds a fulfilment to the book.
I didn't really see the need for Kiara and Elise's narratives, it did rule out Seb as a suspect and answered the question to the campsite as well as getting us a clear killer and conclusion. Though I felt most of their chapters weren't as strong as the others.
Despite this I enjoyed this and can appreciate the need for both sides of the story. Would recommend!

I adored this book! I read the Encyclopedia of Early Earth, which was good but didn't hit the spot, whereas this one blew the mark away.
This focuses on a pair of lover, Cherry and Hero (yay for queer representstion) as they try to avoid a husbands stupid bet. Through this we hear many stories, all amazing and fantastic on their own. However, the end of the book ties together all the stories marvellously. Literally amazing, I had goosebumps the last few pages.
This took me maybe 2 hours to read, but the time flee by. A new favourite for sure.

Good for repetition, getting the children to put their arms as wide as they could go.
I liked it despite it not being my usual read. I loved the insight into these characters lives and troubles. The splitting between times was a nice way to embellish thr characters, specifically Agnes. My only strife is why did Agnes' husband become distant and have affairs? I would have liked a resolution, but this is not his story, it is hers.
Very very short read - maybe 25 pages? Included at the end of the first book, this shows progress of Stephanie and Skullduggery's good humour.
I couldn't get enough, I read this in an afternoon/evening and It took me back to when I first read this in my teens. Still as good as I remember!
I never realised how young Stephanie is, only 12 yet even without magic is can hold herself.

It was good! Loved how Stephanie played more into this one, showcasing how her skills are improving. Good I liked it!
