Ahh the ending is so bittersweet! I loved the modern day telling, showing everyone got their happy endings even if in another life.

This didn't feel like a Stephen king book, but God was it good!!

As a lover of Greek mythology, this was a treat. Its a dual POV, but unlike others I found I loved both perspectives. The humour was great, humanising deities is slightly peculiar but it worked.

I really enjoyed the first person perspective. All the characters were great (even heather) and added to the story. As always with Grady Hendrix, nothing was ever boring and kept me engaged throughout.

Really quick read. Cute and easy to read, thought there was going to be more to the story but the humour was good and the characters were interesting. I would love to see more of these characters!

As usual, TJ Klune has had me smitten with these characters. Different to earlier novel (House on the Cerulean Sea), this follows the story of Wallace, a complete ass. But with the help of others he finds his humanity and blossoms as his own person.

The writing was easy to read - one thing I love about Klune's work. The characters were nicely developed and integrated humour (and sometimes cheesy lines) really nicely. A favourite of the year I'm sure.

I feel this book is mainly vibes, and listening to an audio book might not have done this book justice. I didn't like how it kept skipping to backstories of the characters, but this definitely did flesh them out.
The ending I'm still mulling over - after everything that our main character went through he did not deserve that. But I adored the ending, we love a plot twist!

I found this better than the last book, but not as good as the first. Love the world building - adding more characters and building magic connections is good! As always the humour is top notch and a quick read!

I absolutely ate this up. This reminds me of a monty python, very bizarre and jumbled but very good!!

I wasn't a fan of the slow burn start. It took a while for things to happen, but when they did, THEY DID HAPPEN. Really nice atmosphere of the story telling, and the investment into characters (I love mercy) helped pull the plot together.
