Not one of the best. It’s okay, but I wasn’t really pulled into the story

It’s always great to read about about football and it’s actually being called football! Fun read, even if I kept calling BS on the knee surgery and how quickly that all apparently can go and how quickly he was back on his feet and everything was fine. Too much personal experience with bad knees, I guess...

I’m not sure what to make of this book. It feels very slow, like nothing is happening until the last 100 pages or so, and then there’s so much going on at once that it would be too much at the same even on the best soap opera. It was very heavy on the descriptive side of the scenes, but at the same time it didn’t describe enough? I’m not even sure how that’s possible, but here we are.
I liked Darcy, and Hara was okay as well, and they were the biggest reason I did finish the book. They weren’t anything special though. If I had to describe the book in one word, it was... okay-ish? I guess? Trigger warnings would have been nice, though. Not one I’d recommend quickly to anyone

I love a good football romance story, especially when it makes me laugh out loud! Lainey and Gabe are great together, and I’m happy to see that the book touches upon things like the differences between how male and female athletes are often treated even if they both work as hard and give up the same things. There were a lot of cute moments, and a lot of moments where I was shouting out loud that either Lainey or Gabe were being an idiot, nicely balanced out for both of them, haha!

Audiobook review: I loved this story, it was a perfect one to dip my toe into the audiobook world. The story flowed well, and Olive and Ethan are just the cutest!
adventurous funny mysterious fast-paced

The perfect balance between adventure, action, mystery and romance!  I will be (im)patiently waiting for new adventures with Riley and Nick!

I adored this story. It was amazing to read about Chloe, how her illness is a big part of her but isn’t her defining thing. And similarly for Red, his past relationship is a big part of him but it’s not all that makes him who he is. It’s important to have romance novels like this out there in the world, and to be this great <3
