I couldn’t stop reading, and I am happy I picked it up on a rainy Saturday with nothing else to do so I didn’t have to stop! I started to suspect pretty soon that Rachel was the little girl that Caine kept talking to, and I kept telling him that he did the right thing coming back and listening! I feel the struggle he had within himself dragged on a little bit, but at the same time it also made so much sense that it took a while and some soul searching before he could finally tell Rachel.
Beautiful story, much more meaningful than I expected going in.

Where do I begin... I loved this story so much that I don’t really have the words. Charlotte and Reed have the most beautiful story that pulled on my heart strings. It’s been a while since I talked out loud to both characters as much as I did to them, trying to make them talk and give it a try!
The moment Charlotte found out that Reed has MS left a hole in my heart, and I had to put the book down for a moment to process. I did think there was something ‘wrong’ with him, but this kind of massive secret he was carrying with him? My only minor issue was that it would have been good if we would have had some hints in the chapters from his POV. A minor tremor, a small struggle.
I couldn’t stop reading after that reveal, but I kept checking my phone after each chapter to make the story last longer!
The 26 years later epilogue made me so happy, I’m so glad they got to have a full life together, making the most of what it gave them, keeping hope. What a lovely way to end this beautiful and heartbreaking story

I loved this story, it was tense and the mystery who-dun-it plot kept me wanting to read past my bedtime. In the end, the big final moments felt too fast and coming out of nowhere, and the aftermath of having to explain what happened was mostly skipped. The romance felt a little bit rushed and sudden as well, even in the intense situation Beth and Alex found themselves. It was still a very enjoyable read.

Like Donna once said, it’s like my soul hurts now. I love Hannah and Garrett so much, and my heart aches for them both, both with intense traumas but somehow they’re not afraid to love. What a beautiful read!

This was a great read to counterbalance the grey days of autumn, it flowed well, even though the big thing in the blurbs about them not being able to be together for the week happens way later than I thought (around 65% in)! The story leading up to that moment was excellent, the getting together plot was just flipped upside down a bit, which was refreshing. I would have liked to read dual POV, now it was all Patrick. I always like it more to get both sides of the story, and I missed Mia’s thoughts and processing a little bit, but it was still good!

It’s a fun, quick mystery novel. Classic who-dun-it without many plot twists, a great autumn read!

Easy read, but I didn’t really connect emotionally with Magnolia or Jagger, and that made it hard to feel anything more about the book than that it was okay

I’m not sure how I feel after finishing this book. The story is sweet, and touched on many important topics, but it didn’t feel like it went past the surface. It felt slow reading, but at the same time pretty fast as well. Some parts were very enjoyable but others felt so slow that I kept being distracted. Overall it was okay

Before September, I hadn’t read a single book by Pippa Grant, and now this is my third book by her in as many weeks! I loved it so much, Grady and Annika had the perfect combination of love and humor and problems to make it a great story. I love books where the story is told from both POVs, it makes the world feel more complete, and Master Baker did it very well without getting repetitive with the plot!
