If you’re looking for a great romance with a breathtaking murder mystery second plot line, this is your book! If you’re looking for a chilling murder mystery with an amazing romance second plot line, this is your book! I’m struggling with placing this one in one category, and I think that is exactly what makes it so good! I was hooked from the moment there was a mystery man in Lola’s apartment, and still had no clue who the killer was until moments before the reveal! In between the investigation, the love between Lola and Jacob blooms, and the slow burn is so good that I kept wondering if we would get the payoff in this first book in the series. I can happily say that we do, and it’s amazing! The chapters are written from Lola’s POV and from Jacob’s,  giving the reader an insight into the infestation through the eyes of the police and through the eyes of a potential victim. 

When I reached the first chapter through the eyes of the killer, I got chills. I just couldn’t stop reading, even though his thought process was so creepy! Especially since his identity was still unknown!

This was such a great story! It was not what I was expecting, even if I wasn’t sure what to expect. It deals with several serious issues and they’re all handled so well. I felt every emotion! I loved reading both Delilah’s and Brody’s sides of the story, and bringing in Willow’s POV was interesting too, even though her part didn’t really feel necessary. In the end, her storyline is wrapped up through Brody’s chapters.

This was a great mystery novel! The case kept me reading, and I think I suspected every character in the book at some point! I loved the way the book handled the interactions between the geeksquad and Matteo, welcoming him in and being excited to share a love with someone new to it all. That’s how it should be, no judgment but just excitement! And the buildup between Matteo and MG was just perfect, so sweet and so real! 

Such a cute, quick story! It’s a short novella, but it didn’t feel short, if that makes sense. It flowed well and it had me laughing several times!

This was a very fun read! It was great seeing Lina and Max go from enemies to lovers without losing their banter. The struggle for Lina to open her heart and be vulnerable was an interesting aspect of the story, and very good to read about her reasoning behind it all. This is something that needs to be spoken up about more, and I love when it’s mentioned in romcoms.

This book is all about hope. It’s about finding joy again in life after trauma. Allowing yourself to be you. And it’s all wrapped up in a sexy bow! It’s hard to find the right words to explain how I feel, I’m just so glad I read this story! I love it so much!

This audiobook felt more like a radio play, with so many different voice actors, and it added so much more to the story that was great already! The last few chapters had me close to tears! So good!

A novella that has so much Christmas joy that it’s almost too sweet, but it’s just the right amount of sweet and cuteness mixed with some good steam!

This has to be the best holiday novella I’ve read this year. It’s cute, sweet, not too overly Christmassy, and most of all it’s so real! It talks about very serious topics and they’re handled with grace and honesty. It gripped my heart and even though it feels strange to say, I’m proud of Jake and Christina!
