**I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review**

If you’re looking for a great romance with a breathtaking murder mystery second plot line, this is your book! If you’re looking for a chilling murder mystery with an amazing romance second plot line, this is your book! I’m struggling with placing this one in one category, and I think that is exactly what makes it so good! I was hooked from the moment there was a mystery man in Lola’s apartment, and still had no clue who the killer was until moments before the reveal! In between the investigation, the love between Lola and Jacob blooms, and the slow burn is so good that I kept wondering if we would get the payoff in this first book in the series. I can happily say that we do, and it’s amazing! The chapters are written from Lola’s POV and from Jacob’s,  giving the reader an insight into the infestation through the eyes of the police and through the eyes of a potential victim. 

When I reached the first chapter through the eyes of the killer, I got chills. I just couldn’t stop reading, even though his thought process was so creepy! Especially since his identity was still unknown!
