I didn’t expect it, but this was the book that made me cry. My heart just breaks when people think they’re not good enough, and both Ares and Felicity are so much more than they seem, than they might even think of themselves. The book shows that there’s so often more to people than the world sees, if you only take the time to look for it. I loved the book so much, and I’m so happy how Ares and Felicity are together, make each other more, how they’re each other’s missing puzzle piece!

I really liked this story. I loved the way Sterling was helping London face her fears without pushing her, and how their relationship developed from there.
I did get annoyed at London for immediately believing her friend and not the man she loves when they had a fight, but to me that’s actually a sign of a good story. If I wasn’t connected to the characters, I wouldn’t have been annoyed at them! It’s just frustrating that she couldn’t give him her trust! I was glad that she came to that same conclusion on her own though, when the anger and the pain of the revelation had calmed down again.
The book is the sixth standalone in a series, and I didn’t read any of the other books yet. In the beginning I had a lot of names thrown at me, making it a bit confusing, but I didn’t need the other books to enjoy this one.

This was a great, light read to start the year with. It was my first book by Karla Sorensen, and I will definitely read more!

**I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review**
This was such a beautiful story, filled with raw emotions and struggle. It’s a story about choosing love, about choosing hope, about handling addiction, about handling grief, about handling life. I struggled now and then with Bailey not wanting to talk to Drew but choosing other ways of dealing with their struggles, but I also could understand how she felt. I’m glad Drew realised when he needed to push a little and when to give space. I would’ve loved to read more about Carter’s story that we got a peek into, but who knows, maybe in another book!

I couldn’t stop reading this book all day, needing to know what Miles was holding back, why he was the way he was! It was a great story, but the entire time while I was reading, I felt I was missing the connection with Miles and Meg, and I can’t really explain what it was.

I loved this book so much! Knox the librarian who reads and loves romance novels? Be still, my heart. The fact that he recommended Bet Me as a first romance book to Parker made me love him even more! And all his recommendations throughout the book made my tbr even longer than it already was! I love Parker, she feels so real, and I’m proud of who she became. She’s amazing, and I’m glad that Knox was able to help her finally realize that! This was the perfect fake relationship, older heroine, Pippa humor, fun read!
