This was such a fun book about two opposites who have their lives changed after a one night stand. There were several moments where I laughed out loud, and it read so easily that it kept me up way past my bedtime. Not communicating well is starting to become a pet peeve of mine in books, and Charlotte and Arthur reached the point where I started to get a little frustrated, but luckily they didn’t cross the line and it worked out well before it was too late, haha! There was enough going on to make it a good story, finding the balance between the happy, sweet moments and the struggles of reality and lives being turned upside down.

This was such a fun read! Liza decides to travel to Italy after trying to be ‘normal’ for several years after her turbulent youth that prevented her from living like herself. Once there, it becomes clear very quickly that normal can’t describe what’s happening anymore. Being followed by spies, kidnapped, all because of her father. Who she doesn’t even know! Liam is one of the spies, and he struggles with having a job to do but falling in love with the target. Those things don’t match up. I loved that the book wasn’t just Liam rescuing Liza from the situations she landed in, but Liza did her fair share of rescuing Liam too. Maybe not literally, but she’s rescuing him from a life without any human connections!

This book was beautiful! It starts off light, Daniel and Scarlett being co-workers who are attracted to each other and decide that a work trip is a perfect way to give in to those feelings for a week and ‘get it out of their system’. But they both have darkness and sadness in their past, they’ve been hurt and closed off, struggling to open up again. I loved how much they talked to each other about what they expected from the week, no empty promises, and no presumptions on either side. They kept communicating about it all. They slowly fall deeper and open up to each other about their pasts, and it becomes clear how this has influenced them. When they return to Paris, I wanted to smack Daniel for his choice, even though I could totally understand. Luckily, his best friend Cole was there to do just that and help him understand why taking risks with your heart is what you have to do sometimes. It was good to give Daniel and Scarlett both a moment to process what has been happening and think about how they want to go forward, so that they’re both sure about the next step. This book is ultimately about hope, about finding happiness, about letting go of the past and focusing on the future. It was just so good!

Another great book in the Pippaverse! I loved Viktor in Manning’s book, and I’m so happy I’ve read his own story now!

I like a good slow burn but this just wasn’t for me. I got frustrated by Nadia a lot, and I only managed to make it this far because of Daniel’s side of the story.

Once I started reading, I just couldn’t stop! I only checked my phone once, while normally that’s my biggest distraction while reading. I was sucked into the story, needing to know what happened next. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions, so much is happening, but it reads so easily that you forget time and suddenly it’s 2am and you finished a 400 page book in one sitting. I loved it so much!

I can’t really explain how I feel about this book. The story is all over the place, but it’s not bad. I did keep me up past my bedtime. I understand this is the first book in the series and the mystery wasn’t going to be explained, but I don’t think I’ll go read the rest to figure it out. Jesse and Emma have their HEA (for now), I’m good.

I’ve read several books that Penelope Ward had co-written with Vi Keeland, but this was my first solo outing by her, and it was great! This was such an easy, steamy read and I loved it!

I loved this book so much! It comes very close to Hard To Handle for me. This story is different than most love stories, in that the main plot isn’t the road for both characters to get together. This book focuses more on finding truth, finding love, and dealing with life-altering events. It’s a modern Romeo and Juliet.
Brexton and Drew were already falling in love in their childhood, and when they meet again, they fall even deeper, in spite of their families having been at odds for years. Drew has been living with his family keeping secrets for so long, never being sure what exactly happened that made all their lives the way they are. I loved that he didn’t fight the connection he had with Brexton, even knowing the trouble it could bring. She helped him with his problems, simply by being there. She doesn’t push, she doesn’t force her opinion or her side of the story, she lets Drew figure things out on his own when he asks for space, but she makes sure he knows that she is there for him. She is his calm in the storm. I can’t even imagine having such a big secret as a parent, and knowing there is one as a child. I’m proud of Drew for taking the steps he did, and confronting the people to finally find out the truth. All while falling in love and still finding the beautiful moments in life.
