The missing sons of Edward IV, supposedly taken and either murdered and hidden in the tower or imprisoned and then left to die and hidden in the tower. This book laid out evidence for all theories. It was really interesting.

I love Eleanor Herman's books. I listened to this one on Audible, and really enjoyed it. It seems so alien to read about the hygiene in previous eras and realize how far removed it is from what we (should) practice now. I enjoyed the suspicions and the wild ideas people had to keep themselves safe and detect any poisonous substances. I will always recommend any and all Eleanor Herman books.

I generally buy every Kennedy related book that I can get my hands on, and I was very excited to get this one. I think the story of Rosemary is absolutely tragic. She suffered, most likely, from a lack of oxygen during birth. She was well loved by her siblings and family, despite her mental deficit. Her family thought they were really doing something for her by putting her in an institution and giving her a lobotomy. It really makes you wonder what her life would have been like if she hadn't done that. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in the Kennedy family.

This book was suggested to be by a list for those who enjoy the show Downton Abbey. I think I bought three or four books from that list that were personal accounts from people who were in service to titled families. I really enjoyed learned about all the daily activities that the author had to do, as well as what it was like to work in large houses. I really enjoyed this book.

This book is about a woman who manages to escape an abusive relationship. This book was actually really good, and I really enjoyed it. I found this one at a thrift store, and I thought that it was well worth what I paid for it. I liked it more than I thought I would.

This is a really neat collection of personal photographs, letters, and other memorabilia from the Kennedy Family. Rose Kennedy, the matriarch of the Kennedy clan, had a lot of photos of her famous children and grandchildren. I have been interested in the Kennedy's for a long time, and I was thrilled to find this in my local used book store. I really enjoyed this book and seeing these photographs.

I got this book at the thrift store for less than a dollar. This was the first Ann Rule book that I ever read. The cases were well written about, and she covered them in a much less biased manner than I would have. I would have struggled not to call a murdering spouse some ugly names. I prefer the books that she writes that focus on one single case, but this was an alright book.

This book is on the reading list for The Last Podcast On The Left (Episodes 300-304). This book is about Jim Jones, a minister of his own design. One of the most notable things from his early ministry days is that his congregation was racially integrated in a time when that was far from the norm. He became involved in politics, and moved his congregation from Indiana to California. Jim Jones participated in all sorts of activities, including fake faith healing, taking assets from his congregants, cheating on his wife, using drugs, and a whole host of other things. He eventually opened up a colony in South America, where congregants lived in unbelievable conditions and ultimately committed mass suicide. This book was well researched and very informative. I found it engaging all the way through. I learned so much about Jim Jones and the People's Temple from this book. I would highly recommend it.

This book was centered a lot around speeches and documents, which was very insightful and also a little tedious. I generally buy everything related to the Kennedy family that I come across, and this was no different. It was interesting to see how much RFK was involved in. I guess I had never really paid that much attention to it before. I think this is a must read for anyone who is into the Kennedy clan.

Robert Francis Kennedy was born in Massachusetts in 1925. He was number seven out of nine children born to his parents. His mother was Rose, and his father was Joseph. His family on both sides were heavily Irish. He had the nickname Bobby in the family. He was well educated, attending some prestigious schools. His father did not think that Bobby was as great as his other sons, and didn't really have a close relationship with him. This was especially evident after his oldest brother, and protégé of his father, Joseph Jr, died while serving in World War II. He did serve in the Naval Reserve for a time, and served on a ship bearing his brother's name. He helped his brother, John F Kennedy, with his political campaigns, before ultimately getting involved in politics himself. He married Ethel Skakel in 1950, and the couple had eleven children together. (Which is way too many for me.) He worked for a time as a lawyer, then becoming Attorney General, and a US Senator.
As far as his political stances, he was a Democrat. He stated he would support ending the death penalty. One of his more famous moments was when he squared off with Jimmy Hoffa in the investigation into his funds. He also helped Martin Luther King Jr be released from jail for civil rights work. When he was elected to the role of Attorney General, he focused a lot on organized crime and the Teamsters Union. He was described as a liberal fairly often. He believed in a non aggressive foreign policy, racial and economic equality, and various social change policies. After President JFK's assassination, people were sure he would run for office and continue his brother's work. He did run for President in 1968, but lost the primary to a more experienced politician. He was assassinated in June 1968 by Sirhan Sirhan.
I have always been very interested in family dynasties, and this is one of my favorite dynasties to read about. I have read a number of books about this family, but not as much material on Bobby. Some of his personality traits didn't come off as strong as his older brothers. I do not care for his father, and think it is shameful that he was so cold towards his own child. The Kennedy family has certainly seen their share of tragedy and scandal, and Bobby Kennedy's life and death is a small chapter in that. This book was pretty detailed about his activities and policy, and I found it to be an enjoyable read. I am glad to have it in my collection, and would suggest it for anyone interested in the Kennedy family.
