I just wasn’t vibing with it. I felt like if I read the whole thing, it would have been detrimental to the book for me to rate it

I received an advanced copy and I just wasn’t in the mood for it after a while

The parallels to the real world were too on the nose and it made the writing seem juvenile for a YA story. I just couldn’t get past that feeling that this was written for a younger audience 

I just want invested enough for almost 400 pages of a YA rom com

Main character really got on my nerves. She read and much younger and I didn’t think I could take a whole book with her whining 

I had a feeling I was going to resent Mai more and more as the book went on. I didn’t want to have a lackluster experience overall so I quit while I was ahead
