I really enjoyed this audiobook, both because of the cast of readers and the plot. I'm not usually one for science fiction, aliens, or strange metal women weapons, but this was done well. The format was a bit confusing, as it's done in a file-format, which might be a bit more approachable in text, as opposed to audio.

Took a while to get back into the universe, but I really enjoyed this. There were a lot of different little ideas in this book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Interesting premise and social commentary. I just didn't enjoy reading it all that much. I almost wanted to put it down, but it was just so short that I decided to just listen to it straight through.

I read this for a class and, just, wow. Mitchell does a wonderful job portraying a complex man like Gould.

Fantastic. The first is probably my favorite, just with world-building and characters.

Long one of my favorite fantasy series. I think I like it better than Harry Potter. Certainly it has more powerful commentary and artistic writing.

Excellent book. I definitely want to start a crime ring now. More seriously, though, it made me think of architecture and space differently, while also making me feel less safe.

While it was enjoyable, I would have liked it better if it had been slower-paced, longer, and probably in print.

I'm not usually one for slave narratives, because they're just so difficult to listen to because of the subject matter. This one, despite showing the horrific mental scars slavery can leave, was an incredibly written narrative.

The character development here was fantastic. I know that many were expected Lyra to remain a wonderous and curious child, but having her as a bitter and realistic adult here was so much more accurate. And then, having her reclaim a part of herself, balancing her childlike wonder and adult realism was so real and wonderful to read.
