I really loved this. I hadn't expected to because I really just picked this up randomly, but this novel had everything that I love reading about.

I definitely didn't understand everything on a single read through and I do plan to re-read it sometime in the future. However, even on the first go, it was a pretty fantastic book. It got a little strange as I continued to read, which isn't uncommon for a Murakami book, but in an interesting kind of way. That said, it wasn't my absolute favorite novel of his.

I've been exploring graphic novels recently and this one really hit the spot. This kind of short story and character-centric kind of story is perfect for me. The art style was gorgeous and the chracterization of the protagonist and the wild ride he goes on was done really well. I only wish it were longer, but even then, it's still pretty great.

Nice and sweet. I particularly like the ending and how realistic the characters are.

I tried to audiobook this, but I just think it's a more intensive read that requires text. I'm bad at following different timelines and characters via audio.

I just loved this. Just like the narrator, I, too, am in love with Sumire.

This just wasn't the right book for me. There were a few really interesting elements that I liked, but overall, it was just okay. The ending and dream sequences were particularly good.

I actually really enjoyed this. I had read another of his works and it magnificently strange. This book has a similar energy and I love that.

There were a few stand out stories and graphic styles, but it really wasn't my thing, overall.

The illustrations were beautiful and I loved the diversity of stories. However, since the stories are rather short, it was a bit difficult to get really engaged with them. I like more developed characters and these stories just couldn't, and weren't meant to, provide that element.
