This was great for a Q&A style book.

It was a decent read and I really did like her prose. However, I found her insight about translation much more interesting than her commentary about the immigration system.

I've become pretty interested in coffee and tea lately, so learning about them and the other drinks were interesting.

I didn't know much about this topic beforehand, but this book made me consider things in a new light and helped me understand why things are as they are.

This was pretty great. The whole thing was rather exciting and the ending particularly so.

As is the case with all short story collections, some of these stories were better than others. Overall, though, I really enjoyed them. It wasn't as good as some of his other short story collections, but it was definitely well-worth the read.

This book was incredibly touching and memorable. The narrator was vaguely reminiscent of the protagonist of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time even though the subjects and plot were different.

I just wasn't terribly interested in this.

I really wanted to like this book, but I just ended up with too many questions about the world and setting. I 'm always super interested in setting, especially in a dystopian novel like this, and the book just wasn't specific enough to answer all my questions. That said, Nick and Benji were great characters and well-written. The side characters were extremely minor and unfortunately that made the story a little less engaging. Overall, it was a wonderful concept that could have been executed a little bit better if the book was a little longer.

I've never read the original short story, but I raelly appreciated this retelling regardless.
