This book was cute, but the character development was underwhelming. I wish there had been more information on Will and Forrest's past, their life together before Julie and their relationship just the two of them. The polyamorous aspect was interesting, and it was such a unique concept especially for a historical romance.

I don't read too much middle grade so I'm not sure I have much to stack this up to... but it was very nice and a good read!

This was a super quick read, and I was excited to pick it up each time. The ending with Joy/Carina was interesting, but not worth its build-up. I loved the setting of Jamaica. For a debut novel, it's even extra good! There was a lot of back-and-forth with the twist and who the duppy was/what they wanted, so much to the point that I was at one point just, like ughhh tell me what happened. But I did find this very enjoyable and I'm excited for the author to put out more work!

Just eldest sister things, I guess? I was a fan of this, but the ending fell a little flat. There was no real ending, or like moral, just "family comes first." Even though you're still kinda rooting for Korede, you slowly realize that she's just as bad by enabling her sister's murderous tendencies. It was an interesting concept, and I enjoyed how quickly the story developed. The narrator was lovely too!

Such a cute and sweet read. It truly felt like reading a hug, drinking a warm cup of cocoa, and cuddling with my dog underneath a blanket while I listen to rain falling outside. I have no notes. The characters were all so sweet, the love story was low-key but still a bit of pining, the conflicts were intense but so low-stakes that they didn't add any anxiety to the experience. Perfect read, however, not if you're in the mood for something heavy/deep :)

The audiobook was great, but this final book to the Ruinous Love trilogy fell quite flat for me. I'm glad I read it, but also really glad that the trilogy is over. The audiobook was great; I loved the narrators. It was fun, but not as fun as the 1st two books.

Out of all the FMC's, I liked Rose the least. She was chaotic, impulsive, and repeatedly put Fionn in positions where he felt compelled to clean up her messes. I liked Fionn, he was sweet and I liked his inner battle stuff, as well as the relationship with his brothers. But found myself getting annoyed with Rose for her vengeance-without-a-plan attitude.

I did enjoy them all becoming friends in this book -- it was a nice touch and it made me happy.

I loved the continuation of the story from the 1st book, and I appreciated seeing the whole cast of characters back together. It's been a while since I read Dating Dr. Dil, but I remember the sense of camaraderie with all of the aunties coming together. I loved seeing Bobbi and Bunty develop, too!

The writing was quite cheesy and overly cliche at times, and while it was slightly distracting, I still enjoyed the book! I didn't love the narrators; it almost felt like they were both great with voicing every other character besides the MC's. The MMC took on this deep voice for Bunty that reminded me of someone making fun of a male voice... if that makes sense. Then the FMC's voice was not my favorite, it was almost like breathy... and weird. I don't know how to explain it.

Rounding up to 4 stars because of the spice :)

This was a little strange, but I enjoyed it. Merricat was an interesting character and the revealing of her little "quirks"
such as her not being allowed to do certain things
were interesting. I've seen it suggested that she has OCD, which is an interesting concept. I've never read a horror or a "classic" with OCD representation.

This was a very cynical and dark take on humanity, but not necessarily an incorrect one.

The beginning of this book was honestly quite lovely; I struggle with OCD/anxiety and I felt just very, very seen. The middle/climax was a bit hard for me. Listening to Gilda fall so deeply into suicidal ideation was intense and difficult. However, it was broken up by moments of laughter too. It wasn't personally triggering, but the existential dread became a bit uncomfortable at times.

I finished this book very quickly, and I did thoroughly enjoy it. It was very emotional but also funny. I also see some reviews complaining about the lack of resolution, but I sort of enjoyed it. I like books like that.
