I did not care about these people. I would've DNFed if not for book club. 

This book is really, really good. It reminds me a lot of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo in the weaving of time and an old woman sharing her life. It's a story about love, but more of a romantic mystery than a romance. It's wistful and in the end it made me cry. 

Kennedy Ryan does it again! What a fitting and glorious end to the Skyland series. I've got chills. I both wanted to devour this book and to slow down so it didn't end. 24-hour read at 419 pages. Did I do anything else today? Barely. 

This book was incredibly messy. But the biggest issue was poor pacing, which made the last third feel twice as long as the rest of the book. 

The third act breakup really pissed me off. 

This book is taking so long to capture my interest that I now doubt it ever will. Where on earth is the romance?

I wasn’t liking the characters and it didn’t seem like they would improve. Plus multiple exposition dumps. Then I read reviews that said love triangle and closed door. Plus the introduction of an unpleasant character.
