I write these words in steel, for anything not set in metal cannot be trusted.
(in dustin’s voice): holy mother of god.
Great, Elend thought. I’ve filled my inner council with a bunch of thrill-seeking masochists. Even worse, I’ve decided to join them.
i am b r o k e n. broken. so to cure my depression i am going to copy and paste every quote i can find and remember from this masterpiece :DD
Elend: I kind of lost track of time…
Breeze: For two hours?
Elend: There were books involved.
It was amazing how many books one could fit into a room, assuming one didn't want to move around very much.
Zane didn't make sense. He didn't have to. That was, perhaps, one of the advantages of being insane.
and finally
He ate my horse.
and i am still kind of surprised i called out one plot twist in the first chapters akajsjd
i am also going insane because i was spoiled for the other major plot twist AJJSJDJD

*Note: ele foi publicado em 1901.*
Segundo: as personagens.
A Catarina, destruindo o patriarcado.
Assim. Era 1901 e a mina tava desafiando a igreja católica.
enfim
leiam a falência pra sambar na cara do corretor do vestibular

I WILL NEVER RECOVER.
From all the deaths (*cough HASTRA, LENOS, HOLLAND WHYYYYY)), the battles, the miserable life of Holland, shadow kings, Londons, battles, and this mesmerizing world that VE Schwab has created.
I feel so empty, so hollow. But also, filled by happiness and sadness and love and hzisjfkdkxk
In a week (or less i really don't know anymore haha), this trilogy changed MY ENTIRE LIFE.
I am absolutely speechless.
I have no words to describe what I have felt while reading these books.
V.E. Schwab, thank you for writing this (inserts fancy adjective for fantastic, amazing) trilogy.
I am a mess now, and I don't know what to do with my life. Because of words. Of books. And that is magical to me.
This is not making any sense as my head is still numb from all that reading and crying and shipping.
i have honestly no idea what to write next so i guess i will just write down whatever comes to min, without any structure/organisation, just like my brain right now
I LOVE HOLLAND, AND HE REMINDS ME A LOT OF SNAPE (CHARCOAL BLACK HAIR, RASPY VOICE, UNREADABLE FACE, TRAGIC PAST, I MEAN)

SPEAKING OF WHICH, I DEMAND HIS BACKSTORY
ALUCARD AND KELL BICKERING
THE ANTARI BLOCK-CHAPTER THINGY WAS SO FUCKING COOL I MEAN THE WHOLE BINDING RINGS//SYNC//FIGHT OHMYGODICANT'
TIERAN HAS SARCASM BURIED SOMEWHERE IN HIS BONES
KING MAXIM WAS QUITE STUPID
ACTUALLT A LOT OF THE CHARACTERS MADE VERY STUPID DECISIONS I WAS ASHAMED MYSELF
THIS NASI GIRL HM
VERIDICT: VE SCHWAB IS A CLEVER, COLD BLOODED MONSTER WHO DESTROYED US READERS, AND I HAVE F E E L I N G S

i legit remember arguing with my 7th grade algebra teacher bc i was done with all the work we were supposed to do during the whole month so i was reading this book while he was explaining smth on the board and i wouldn’t stop lmao
march 21st 2020 update: now he’s back and teaching me more algebra. he still remembers me as the 7th grade nerd kid who does physics. yeah. i like his class, though i don’t pay attention half the time. i also found out he’s a huge movie nerd and runs the movie club at our school. he recommends us some movies at the end of every class. it’s great.
september 22nd 2021 update!! oof 2020 me did not know what was coming in march 2020 lmao
the teacher's still teaching me math! this year he's our geometry teacher though. he probably remembers me but we're all wearing masks + i sit in the last row of seats with a bunch of tall ppl in front of me so idk if he sees me. he is still consistently recommending us great movies and tv series. my friends and I also made him watch The Promised Neverland (he enjoyed it a lot and recommended it on his instagram)!! :D

i am so shaken up after closing this book. the experience of reading this story was beyond haunting and tragic, but also somewhat so engaging that you know shit’s coming but you just can’t help but keep reading and regret it later as you lay in bed trying to sleep, not being able to put away the disturbing scenes and characters from this fucking book. it’s indescribable. yes, it’s a story about these six classic majors... and that’s really all there is. in a nutshell, I’d say it’s a book about white people’s problems written in 600 pages in absurdly dense writing. again, it’s something you’ve got to experience by yourself to understand, I guess?? but I will say, though, once you start reading, you can’t really stop. even if you do, there will always be that demoniac voice inside your head, whispering, questioning you about the six protagonists, who are all assholes, terrible people. read and watch as many reviews as you want, but you will only understand the hype around this novel once you pick it up and experience it by yourself.
